They are nicknamed The Grecians.
They have 3 'e's in their name.
They are probably a team you would forget if trying to name the 92.
Their last win was 2-1 away to Bolton on 1st May. They have not scored in 4 games this season, losing 4-3 on pens to Wycombe Wanderers in the cup.
Padraig Amond joined on loan from Newport recently and I have also heard of Matt Jay, i think...
Their manager is one of the Matt Taylors. I think it's the one who scored that really long goal v Sunderland in the Prem for Portsmouth.
The head to head is 31 wins for Rovers, 31 draws and 29 wins for Exeter. Very close.
The first time they played was in May 1921. Rovers winning 5-0, but they lost to them 1-0 5 days later.
The last time in the league was a 3-1 win at the Mem in April 2016, goals from Bodin, Brown and Taylor. Jayden Stockley and Ollie Watkins started on that day.
The last visit to St James Park in the league saw a 1-1 draw where Sinclair scored late only for an equaliser in the 90th minute.
Their main rivals are Plymouth.
They have a capacity of 8,541.
They were founded in 1904.
Terry Cooper and Paul Tisdale managed both clubs, that is where the comparison ends...

Wayne Carlisle is their assistant manager. They are 51% fan owned and currently have £5m in the bank. Exeter City played against Brazil in 1914 in what was Brazil's first ever match. They have just received planning permission for improvements to their Cliff Hill Training Ground.

They are the only club in the whole of England, to have an x in their name. Apart from Oxford. And some others.

It was in 2002 when Michael Jackson and David Blaine joined co-owner Uri Geller on a parade around the St James' pitch.
I feel short changed given we've only had Noel Edmunds and Jane Couch at the Mem.

Ade Edmondson is a Grecian and chooses to watch the games from the terraces.

My favourite score line being Bristol Rovers 3 Holland 2. 🙂

I once saw Noel Edmonds and a load of Radio 1 DJs play a charity game at Cardiff City, it was 13 all and DLT was commentating while on the pitch. Into the 2nd half Noel scored in the wrong end and ran off celebrating with Keith Chegwin. Gareth Edwards and Barry John played among others.

IF I were to take the option to " follow" another club it would be Exeter, but because they play in red I couldn't, so would go to the coast and watch Torquay, ' cuz I like their colours, but only after the facthunt is gone....spoilt for choice🤔⚽

In 1994, me and Mrs darlo lived in Exeter while we were waiting for the builders to re-arrange our plumbing (they had it the wrong way round, too technical for me ), in our new house in East Ogwell. I miss South Devon. #UTG

What a damn shame. Nice to see there's a 'GoFundMe' appeal for the couple that run it now.

I always refer to them as X-Zedder { I think it's my Devon roots } so to me they might be the only English team with a Z in their name ? and if The Rovers did ever go pop then St James Park would be where I'd spend my Saturday afternoons, definately.

Exeter had also retired the number 9 shirt Following Adam Stansfield's death from colorectal cancer during the 2010–11 season, the club retired his number 9 shirt for the following nine seasons. From the 2020–21 season onwards, the shirt will be worn by a 'home-grown player'.
