Would have been a nice short trip for me but after our woeful display first game when we went out of the league Cup with a lack lustre display at Ipswich,it would be nice to re-invigorate our season with a positive display against DC's Walsall.
Do hope we can actually score a few as our lack of goals is a concern.
Big draw in the third round will put us back on the map if we get that far but I feel we are doing ok but not setting the world alight with our soporific football.
Time to play a few fringe players perhaps and install more passion into our play and certainly more attempts on target.

Reserve goalie and a couple of fringe / academy players will probably start and Oztumer needs more game time to get up to speed. I can't see Clarke fielding his strongest 11 either to start with.

Anyone know what's happened to Alex Rodman.Michael Kelly and Cameron Hargreaves.
We need to create some chances and actually score not particularly optimistic about turning over DC and his side. Hope I am wrong and we do progress we need a cup boost for sure.

I’ll go for a narrow win. Hope we play an attacking match use our better players and continue DCs appalling FA Cup record! Looking forward to it.

Comfortable Rovers win. 0-4, which will be a good confidence boost for the squad.

I have always enjoyed these Early rounds of FA cup as much as the league games, but I appreciate some people don’t, why? There’s some useful money involved today, worth fighting for. Genuinely something to play for. One division pitted against another. All settled on the day. And even before Considering some ties have managers against old club, players against old club. It should be an entertaining game to watch. I also think make the most of Saturday afternoon FA cup, it could become a midweek tournament like on the continent. |
