Oh dear.. Questions for BG or anyone:
If the journey was brought into our defeat away to Ipswich a few weeks ago, what difference is the mileage reciprocally when we play them at home?
Is it against the law to ever play two recognised strikers at the same time on the pitch?
Is the 69-72 minute unforced substitution(s) BG makes every match taking the p*ss? If I can see it a few hundred miles away at Ipswich, and a few thousand miles away at Sunderland, and I'm thick as sugar what do you think wiley managers and scouts can make of it? Oh and here's a thought....why not make an actual real change instead of like for like sub which is thinly disguised as a change?
BG.....are you embarrassed that Tom Nichols has scored more league goals in open play than we have or ever look like to?
To conclude..... today I saw the same type of match as Southend away. Oh deary me.

Where’s this much heralded passing game? And how is Westbrook supposed to control the game from wide of a front three? Apart from Anssi and Harries’ left foot there’s not much to admire

I thought it was much better today.
Ipswich made a change of personnel and put a press on, and broke us down. Up until then I thought we were a lot better than the Ipswich and Sunderland games in terms of keeping possession longer, pushing up and better territory. Pretty even game up until the last 20 minutes, it felt a bit like one of those after Christmas FA cup ties, when the underdog does okay but the fancied side has a purple patch, takes the spoils.
Goal threat? Shots on target? there certainly wasn’t much of that from fancied Ipswich for 70 minutes. It was pretty even. Our 1 up 1 left and right I haven’t liked from day 1. They are not close enough together, involving each other to create goal threat, nor really providing width, nor working in tandem with a full back. Triple whammy! But looking at our squad there’s probably effective 4 4 2 for this level.
Doncaster away next. We knew the computer gave us a tough start to the season. at the same time a lot of experience in the Ipswich squad today, a lot of youth in ours. But I sense from today’s display there is a lot more to come from our young side and rookie manager.

I'm only interested because after the 4th match, and he still hasn't delivered in your mind, the transfer window will be closed (I think this is essential for a new encumbrance, btw and would time any change to help asap).

I decided 6 league games at start of season. I think that's about 27 games and 2 wins? That has to be a club record?

Everyone draws their line at different places or not at all. I still think we're making a huge mistake by putting ourselves years behind with BG. A coach maybe, but nothing yet of management yet I've seen. Good luck with your 4 matches, syg...

Another five-month lockdown might do the trick.

Just heard BG interview and fair play you have to put a brave face on for media.
65-70 mins not alot in the game.....I honestly thought we chased the game for most of it, were behind in possession and two brilliant Jaak saves and Little clear off the line apart,we could easily have been 3-1 down (if you take Hanlon chance in similar way). I thought Ipswich set up better than us, tested our keeper more and looked much more likely to score than we did itn 65 mins.
2nd goal killed us......true, but why did our heads go down after the first? Two mistakes and we paid for it.
Their substitutes changes the match for them. Ours didn't. Why?
Why didn't we create more chances rather than some half chances at home?
One positive, I think we deliver the first ball from a set piece more effectively this season.
Jaak saves were great, the one he saved with his right through a crowd of players very underrated.
Leahy made some good passes and a decent cross into space - literally - no one there - but that involves going back to the not playing 2 strikers philosophy...

Jim Fallon better watch out, his record of ''Worst Manger Ever'' is under threat here. Ben's Coming For You. Ben's Coming For You. Look Out Fallon. Ben's Coming For You!

It's like we've chosen an 'A student' from the radar development school to lead us,in WW II,instead of Winston.

It's like we've chosen an 'A student' from the radar development school to lead us,in WW II,instead of Winston. You can always choose the wrong person Bas, with the best of intentions, not having the courage, common sense, or having surrounded yourself with 'Yes Men' who won't tell you that you've made a mistake, that's where it becomes a problem. I said at the start of the season that Garner should have 6 games to see how it pans out, no point, I was expecting reports to suggest something better / different to last season, this is exactly the same; Ipswich away. Beaten up. L2 team at home, struggled to a draw then lost the penalties that followed. Sunderland. Gifted a lead, then overrun for 87 mins. Ipswich Home. Beaten up again. That's enough.

Before the game I would have taken a point. In fact, I was expecting a draw.
It seemed like the game plan was to play for a draw. There certainly was not any threat in the attacking third of the pitch. It is difficult to see where the goals are going to come from.
If we were creating a bucketful of chances, then I would not be concerned at all. We are not creating anything at all. We cannot win games if we do not score.
Hanlan I thought had a good game, did what he could with really poor service. On another day could have nicked a goal. Westbrooke seemed to be involved in everything, especially in the first half. Jaakkola was excellent.
On a positive note, we did make Ipswich look ordinary for 70 minutes. Defensively it looked much better until the end. The goals conceeded were very weak, which was a shame because I felt we were in control for most of the game. Hopefully these mistakes can be ironed out.
I enjoyed the watching from home experience, this was my first iFollow game. Looking forward to attending games again, but grateful that we have the technology to watch The Gas in these unprecedented times.
Initial thoughts post game was that we dropped a point today. One point obviously because we were never going to score. Ipswich were beatable today.

It seems he is scared of losing his job already. Therefore negative tactics suffice. Reverse logic might save his bacon. But probably not.
