Almost as exciting as the prospect of the match is whether the bumper programme I ordered on Tuesday will arrive before 3pm today!
I'll keep you all "posted".

Looking forward to this game I am as well. Looking forward to seeing some football... Sometimes it’s just need a result, get it ugly any way it comes. This is not such a day. I think it’s the other way round today, I want to see a performance. I want to see a string of performances. Yeah. Battled well for a point last week. Folded far too easily often in 2020. But that’s not a good performance, merely battling like that should come as standard for every team every week. If you thought that good performance overall, your expectations and demands are not where they should be. Sunderland lacked composure and guile on the day. And we have to approach every league game, home and away as winnable. That battling seen for once last week merely builds the stage, upon which your passing, movement and invention is the performance. 1. Show the skills, organisation and composure needed to retain possession. 2. Hold it long enough to transition from defensive 5 4 1 to offensive 3 4 3. 3. Seek out pockets of space and demand the ball. That’s all I ask from today, not a win. Because if we can show performance described above, we can build on this iteratively, week on week. Until we start to see green shoots of performance, expect months of struggle.

I find it both surreal and hard to get excited about a match I will not attend. The ritual of soccer a.m then football focus makes it worse. Anyway, UTG and hoping I get a pleasant surprise.

Don't let them score in the first 20 minutes, nab a goal before half-time and then hit them on the break 2nd half. 3-1

I'm finding watching a match without a crowd not particularly invigorating, but it's better than listening on the radio without a crowd which doesn't work at all.

Just part of my match day ritual if you will. I tend to deal with emails & watch bits I like. I’m going to a pub which is showing our game but I gave up after one half on the TV, v Walsall.

Never crossed my mind that some local pubs might have us on. Anyone know of any Rovers pub around Yate/Sodbury?
Feels like a big match today, let's score in open play!

We have seen a fair bit of football, cricket, rugby now, without crowd, and to be fair to players, once match fit enough they are giving it a proper go, they are not too much % down without a crowd there. and for season ticket holders, home live feed free. Ive set it up few minutes ago. It did feel a bit odd going through the buying process for something £0.00
