Been chatting with a mate here who is a die-hard Carlisle fan and suggesting it's a shoo-in for them this weekend.
He begged to differ and said:
"We’re probably as bad as you at the moment. Losing 4-0 to Sutton being a recent low point. Morale at rock bottom and supporters calling for the managers head. Sounds like a 0-0 then!"
Like us, it seems they have their problems so I'll go with my mate and a 0-0 scoreline. At the moment that would feel like a victory.
Can someone lift the gloom and tell me why we're gonna win?

This will be a totally different game to last week and I am expecting 3 points.

It appears that The Rovers need a humiliating defeat to gain a victory at the next outing so It might turn out to be one step forward one step back for the whole campaign, still, if that keeps us away from the dreaded conference or whatever it is called these days then that will be fine by most people I should imagine after what we have all witnessed up until now.

Remember when the club apologised for the very heavy defeat at Accrington last season.Max Ehmer-dreadful captain-made his prepared Churchillian war cry but predictably to no avail.Exeter and Swindon matches were really awful and Carlisle fans-family live in Seascale- tell me they are in dire straights too so don't expect a classic.

Eagerly awaiting Joeybags prematch interview. Has he given up if he offered Wael to throw in the towel?

Eagerly awaiting Joeybags prematch interview. Has he given up if he offered Wael to throw in the towel? More likely he knew Wael is too easily swayed and has fallen for his snake oil sales patter and won't let him leave without a fight. As for Orient, wouldn't be a surprise if we scraped a win and then the "In Barton we Trust" lemmings can get the Kleenex out again. Barton out.

Minor point. 😁
Obviously, I meant Carlisle, that other far flung outpost, err...close to East London.
Barton still out and before Orient.

Having heard the lead story on the BBC news the other day about the Gas going up, I have renewed optimism that maybe Joey was right all along

He needs clean sheets and wins, consistently to turn this round.

WHAT? scraping by against the divisions crap sides and played off the park by sides at other end of table is IS THE NORM! That’s the clear pattern. Are you denying reality now? Is that all Barton luvvers have left “well you say that’s an obvious pattern, but I chose to believe otherwise.” He has to go now regardless of result this weekend. He should have gone after last weeks watershed moment. The die has been cast by Barton himself, in his pre match comments about helping Garner be a proper football manager when we havn’t put in a performance for more than ten games.

Just sack him now then. He is running out of excuses for me, believe me. But if he can get a couple consistent results and performances together then who knows. I really think Wael has to wait longer than he did with Garner and the court cases are the elephant in the room. If we lose tomorrow he may go for football reasons but would earn a pay off. He may get the luck he needs with players coming back from injury, put a few results together. Some games are too much for this squad atm, Swindon and Orient being classic examples. What if we didn't beat Crawley and Walsall etc. Damned if he do/don't. Which is why tomorrow is so important. Let's have some balance. Did you go to Walsall? Last 9 games 4 wins 1 draw 4 defeats

Last 9 games 4 wins 1 draw 4 defeats How fantastic a performance was it at Walsall? There were odd days last season, like looking so good against Donny and Pompey. Was the Walsall win as convincing as those? From radio commentary it sounded a bit even, till the closing stages after our first goal sparked us and flattened them, especially as they had that one on one that would have sealed it? but it’s the overall picture isn’t it. What you called the norm. If anyone says it’s a results business and Joey should have gone by now on basis its results business, I disagree, this is not simply what I would do as Chairman. If you are playing well and not getting the results it can feel like it will turn. That has to be part of the sack or more time equation as well IMO. We are not playing well, that’s surely a clear trend we all can agree? and that is the deciding factor. Now the manager himself sounding bit broken and clueless in interviews. Another deciding factor. It is a lack of fire power which is letting us down again this season – factoring in this is the basement, we’ve looked even more toothless than with Hanlon, Ayunga and Westbrook as the make it happen section last season! That’s another deciding factor. How many more deciding factors do we need?

Last 9 games 4 wins 1 draw 4 defeats Or 6 defeats out of 10 with only 3 wins if you want accurate league seasonal figures conceding more goals than every team other than the bottom club where they match us. Don't include his last seasons results or you would drive him back up the M6 yourself.
