If we take a point I will be very happy , given the injuries. It would be a good start I think but a red card , first game, and assistant yellow card doesn’t bode well

Basel - note our bet about Rovers having a terrible disciplinary record. Coutts red carded and Andy Mangan (the coach) yellow carded in terms of 3 match suspension though, Grantt will smoothly slot into anchor role and may even have a better midfield without two anchors in there. And Hughes maybe a better leader on pitch. 3 yellows (outfield players) 1 red (outfield player) Another yellow (assistant coach) |

Lost the will to live!!!! Called in at a discount store early today to buy some bottled water but no-one was on the till. Deciding not to give up I waited patiently and eventually a young man who had been stacking shelves came to see me. 'How can we help you today?' 'We 'I thought.'There's only you 'Can I pay you for the water please?' 'Will you go to another till as this one is playing up' He then added,'Would you like to take advantage of our special offer on hand gel?' 'No thanks,I just want the water'. 'Do you have a clubcard?' 'No ,I just want to pay for the water'. 'Would you like to apply for our Club Card?' 'No thankyou'. 'If you spend another pound you get a free packet of tissues'. 'Can I just pay and go please? 'What are your plans for the rest of the day Sir? Well I am on my way to Mansfield to watch Bristol Rovers'.' 'My brother lives near there at Oxford?  Didn't tell him Mansfield is in Notts but when he asked,'Is there anything else you require?' I nearly said ,A razor as I v'e been here so long trying to pay I need a shave!!!' 'Well Sir you enjoy the rest of the day'. Thinking I'd escaped and would miss the Kick Off I was wrong.' Before you go sir ,if you could complete a customer satisfaction survey you get entered in a free prize Draw'. I feel you brother Gashead. My Mrs refuses to drink tap water, cue me lugging outers of sparkling water. I hate the plastic, the packaging waste. Nightmare shopping |

You couldn't make this up. A winning penalty on 96 mins. Red card for our captain. 3 strikers injured before the game. New winger injured during the game. Completely outplayed for most of the match.
Is there any chance we could have less drama around our club?

There was a tussle between Hughes and Hawkins in the penalty area in the first half which the ref ignored.
The ref decided not to ignore a tussle in the second half injury time.
Awful refereeing, absolutely dreadful. The result isn’t Barton’s fault, the referee has had an absolute shocker.

- One gets sent off for punching an opposition player in the back of the head as he ran past.
- Another gives away a last minute penalty to lose the game (admittedly I've not seen this incident, the i-Follow feed someone was showing on facebook had stopped).

Frustrating!
