This is the difference between having a manager and just some random deluded bloke who thought he could do the job.
Came from behind, they didn't have a single shot on target in the second half.
No idea how far Tisdale can take a team, but was sure that Loser Boy was taking us down at least 1 division.
Good job, 3 more points, on to the next one.

thrilling match - full of quality, and mistakes. Would really like to have been there
could have gone either way, Rovers maybe edged it for having more clear-cut chances than 'pool
Gas started the 2nd half as the opposite of what they were in the first - creating brilliant chances for fun, but couldn't finish one
didn't look like a pen, so maybe poetic justice when it was saved, but the 2nd shout looked nailed-on. Harrumph
missed a very close one, almost identical to the one they missed at the end of the 1st half. Then a header off the bar, and McCormac (I think) hit a shot with the strength of a toddler
but we were hanging on come the end. Flapperstop earned his spurs again (one dreadful free-kick excepted)

A joyous much needed three points and two teams that wanted to play football, hard to pick a MOM as they all played well, but Nicholson edges it with that sublime volley, if Hanlan can improve his close control and Leahy improve his passing & long balls we got the making of a more than decent side, enjoyed that!...UTG!.

That was worth staying up till 4:00am.
Oztumer was silky, McCormack tireless, Kilgour was steadfast and Nicholson clinical. Even Flappershot was largely error-prone in a 1980’s continental keeper kind of way.
Daly, Ayunga and Grant come back next week so we’re looking stronger for squad depth.
3/1 for a gas win was great odds.

What a great game. I almost wish I'd been a neutral in order to enjoy it even more. So much better than the turgid rubbish so many premiership games have been recently, and a 100% better than Garner's play it back and forth amongst the three centre-backs until launching it at nobody in particular. Full marks to Tisdale - he's got us playing entertaining football again. UTG.

quick look at the highlights, and regarding the penalty given despite being in direct line and an un obscurred view, the lino failed to flag for it!!!

Replay looked like it hit his shoulder, commentary said the linesman convinced ref to give it, Blackpool never really complained if it was a howler they would have argued? I thought Hardons silky finish for goal was the highlight you Still wouldn’t put any money on us keeping a clean sheet against anyone though would you?

Great start to the new year!
A good win against capable opponents, where poor finishing and defensive errors on both sides were order of the day...
I thought a draw would have been a fairer result, as we took our chances and Blackpool didn't.
Blackpool 1 up, why wasn't anyone (Baldwin closest) marking their top man? If you blame JVS last week for giving away possession leading to a goal, then this time it's Leahy fault....but why does someone get a free hit in 6 yard box unchallenged? Keeps?
1-1 Brandon has been put through on the left side numerous times and he's not as effective as he is on the right!? He checked onto right foot and hey presto, a precise finish! Excellent finishing...why couldn't he do that from the penalty spot?!
Michelle Owen is barely containing herself when star of the show hits a worldy to make it 2-1 with a volley into top corner. Barely a few minutes after the first Gas goal of new year! Great technique from my m o m.....the Thatcher's End would have been rocking!
After that, JVS was the star in saving us a couple of times to preserve our lead.
I'm sure if you shopped around you could get better, but before match we were 3/1 to win, with Blackpool evens so we were effectively priced out of winning. I'm glad we proved the bookies wrong, but it could have gone either way. I'm just glad this time we rode our luck.....next time we may not be so fortunate.
Well done PT for orchestrating this result. Something must have been said at half time because we looked a transformed side after the break.
We'll take that and onto Blades. Bring em on. Wilder, your days are numbered...

I don't want to copy your post, o2, but I really do agree that "we may not be so fortunate next time". It had similarities with Plymouth - riding our luck, opposition squandering chances, etc.. Other teams will not be so charitable.

Other teams will not be so charitable. Have to take it when it comes, bg.. It is worth noting. Defence: We seem to surrender flank space, but crowd the area. It appears to me (as a complete pleb), this looks like it reverts to last gasp defending and appears to lend the initiative to opposition. I can't say it's not effective, we only conceded one yesterday, but it does mean we look desperate in our approach to defending (I'm trying to put caveat in we're not actually at match so can't see what our shape is when play is elsewhere) and I'm sure a more ruthless attack with precise crossing (which we regularly fail to prevent) and shooting will expose us for our frailties. That's just my plebby old fashioned approach observation. Having said that, especially at home, attack is the best form of defence and we took advantage yesterday..
