I wonder LIS,how both tributes would of gone with 8000 in attendance.Hmm. For Dave Prowse I can understand,but when was the last time ANY other international player,let alone this bloke was given this sort of "space" on a British football pitch I suppose millions of fans consider DM the best player ever.I don't know of any other international player receiving such a tribute at Rovers, but I'm okay with todays tribute. I don't think Dave Prowse (Gashead?) gets one,although any reminder of road safety for the kids is a good thing. |

Score flatters Rovers massively
Overall a balanced half. 2 defensive errors and two good moves separate the sides
Good for confidence tho

We were allowing them too much space in even start, once we turned press on we got the ball back quickly and the tide turned. Because of our neat diagonal press visitors didn’t have any ball for the last 15 minutes. Did you notice, out of possession our shape was a diagonal connect 4.
The non league legs of their elder statesman will tire in the last quarter, 6 nil+.

Great 4th goal from Oztumer.
First time I've seen us this season snd for s while since last. Think 4 - 0 flatters us a bit as they have had a couple of good chances that we didn't look comfortable defending against one of which just fizzed wide. Our tails are understandably up now and it was s shame the half ended when it did.
Like the look of Nicholson Hare and Oztumer. Grant has won his fair share of challenges. McCormick looks what he is - a young inexperienced player with potential. Some classy stuff but also some poor decision making. Well taken penalty from Leahy. I know he is not the best defensively and often looks leaden footed when being attacked by anyone with pace but there is a good fottballer in him, and successive managers seem to like him

Couple of other points worth a mention - lovely through ball from Oztumer which the follicly challenged linesman incorrectly flagged as offside.
Also Sheeded Hunt falling over and holding his head after an aerial 50/50 with Daly. Clearly trying to get Daly a red. Luckily the porker wasnt being conned
