Obviously Rovers recent FA Cup record has been grim at the Mem in particular against non league clubs.
Darlo of course managed a giant killing win at Swindon Town in the previous round something Rovers failed to do at the County ground in the recent league encounter.
Hopefully Hanlan and Daly will have recovered and maybe young striker Kieron Phillips might be on our bench.
Time to give Ehmer and Harries a rest and opportunity for Craig Liddle and Cameron Hargreaves who did well in cup last season against Plymouth and Coventry City. Westbrooke and Oztumer should be a threat to Darlo.
An early goal from Rovers should settle the side down
Fingers crossed for a place in round three.

I personally dislike non Saturday fa cup matches.... and also we kick off at a ridiculous time tomorrow!
But that's just me. Taiwan and NZ Gas might disagree...
I see this as an ideal situation for our opponents to capitalise on all our weaknesses. We are almost there for the taking.
I hope I'm wrong, but this will be a tricky fixture as Darlo have nothing to lose.....but we need a decent performance and result to restore some confidence and pride. Am looking forward to it.

I agree o2. I’m not sure if the bogey is the non league team or playing on a Sunday against them. Hate it, play on a Saturday and get it done. UTG!

Last night's 1-0 victory by Tranmere over non league opposition (Brackley) suggests some non league sides are very good.In other news see Reading had an easy win today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, see Morecambe scored four but their man player Stockton wasn't wearing a number on the back of his shirt??Fine in the Oswaldtwistle and Balarney league that would be.

Grant and Upson have to win the middle.
I think bar disastrous performances in other areas,we should win.
Van Flapperhoef might get away with it against Quakers in their current pyramid placing .

www.theguardian.com/football/2020/nov/28/alun-armstrong-darlington-manager-pressure“We’re a fully fan-owned and fan-funded club so there’s a lot of extra pressure,” says Armstrong as he prepares to take his part-time National League North squad to League One Bristol Rovers, where the rare luxury of a hotel stay awaits ahead of Sunday’s second round FA Cup tie. “Our fans have paid for us to stay overnight, just as they did when we won at Swindon in the last round. We definitely don’t want to let them down.

They found it really hard going at the start because it was incredibly difficult to find a ground in the Town and the fanbase was quite traumatised by the whole Reynolds experience because he'd taken a particularly devisive divide and rule approach for his whole tenure. They haven't maanged to bounce back as quickly as some others who went down the swanny so it's good to see that they are now headed in the right direction.
In the meantime the white elephant that was the Reynolds Arena is currently occupied by Darlington Rugby Club who get about 500 a game...Few clubs got screwed over more than Darlington so it's good that they have something positive going now though hopefully not tomorrow.

Darlington RFC, play at Blackwell Meadows and Darlington Mowden Park Rugby Club play at, The Northern Echo Arena . . . I know Irish; who would have thought a s'hole like Darlo' would have two rugby teams, AND a football team (they play at Blackwell Meadows by the way). The George Reynolds saga is long and complicated, not as clear-cut as it may seem. There are many grey areas. One thing is sure, old George was/is an uncoordinated career criminal.

Rovers match also being shown on BT Sport who showed Darlo rivals Chorley beating Peterborough last night. Ryan Broom played but JCH rested. Chorley fully deserved their win.

Am I imagining things, or did Darlington once knock us out of the FA Cup as a non league side before?

Despite lockdown you can still have a fight for no reason here 😂😂 Is Chasers still the best club in town? Last time I went out in Kingswood the clock tower was still a fishmonger and century’s still a snooker club. I also remember the quality clientele at the Rotunda Club - for some reason the place smelled of musky corned beef. Those were the days!!

Please, no Dutchman in goal for this global broadcast. It could be embarrassing enough as it is.
