There was no match thread at 13:52, so I've interrupted my listening to Talking Heads, "stop making sense" rather loudly on youtube to start one.
I'm forgetting the week gone, it starts here.
Presumably we start with a striker which is already an advantage over last week, I'm hoping for 4 at the back, but I know I will be wrong. Midfield to press more than last week, at 5 we all feel happier about our prospects.
Last year we won our 1st league match of a season?

Regardless of the result, let’s at least perform better and measure progress, bit by bit.
Let’s scrap for the cleanie, picking up runners, aware of our man from set pieces, tighter marking. Challenge for the balls. The mentally focussed physically savvy stuff that builds the platform on which you can showcase a technical performance.
Let’s hold the ball for longer. Holding the ball allows us to re-adjust shape, and apply some pressure to them.
Let’s pass to the man in the pocket of space. This means looking for him, but mostly means seeking space and making intelligent movement
From Jonah and Hanlan only expect 7 goals from 16 starts at this stage, not too much pressure, does that sound fair? Cureton and Taylor started slow. Invisible cureton subbed half time on Home Park debut if my memory serves. It should do, I was there. Late Archer screamer won it against run of play? Taylor goalless for months, applauded though for his busy channel running, but a more technically gifted player was preferred in the side to Taylor? What happened to him.

On one knee for BLM.
I metaphorically turn my back on that.

Start as we mean to go on...
Can we hold on for 87 minutes?

The main take outs from first half Sunderland passing, dreadful at times. Rovers keeping possession poorly. Hanlon/hardon whatever we are calling him, playing well. Giving Sunderland some stiff opposition today.

Looks like Sunderland have had a stern halftime talk. More pace to their game so far, which we're struggling to handle.

On one knee for BLM. I metaphorically turn my back on that. Not one to usually comment on such posts but I find it absurd. This coming from someone who is left of centre or AKA a snowflake lol. I will leave it there
