Yep, Basel has just delivered a DAB radio! Wired for sound. That's great stuff. Well done Steve, that's a selfless and good hearted thing to do. Hope you enjoyed the commentary as much as me and those around me enjoyed the game. Get well soon and UTG Thanks, yes, enjoyed listening. Obviously slightly disappointed but it'll probably even itself out over the rest of the season. If you take the view that it's entertainment, sounds like the game certainly fulfilled that.

Just got back..
An entertaining match! Draw probably fair result - although the norverners will be more satisfied with it - but stats seem to support it.
My m o m was Evans, tricky skills that could only be stopped by fouling, closely followed by Grant first half. Second half he was pants.... switching to the right (enforced change) made the dynamics of the match change and surrender initiative to Tranmere.
Alfie off after a decent all round game, but got caught in possession on their first, and struggled to deal with their number 20... hope he's ok.
Spence done nowt!
Finley brilliant cross for our first, and we started out the traps with lightning tenacity....Sammy on hand to finish with loose ball for the second had the Mem settled in thinking this could be over before half time. Fair play to Tranmere for coming back and giving us a game as they had chances to win it (2 on 1 against Belly which he somehow judged the bounce better than them).
And we had 2 chances to nick it late on too.... Sammy had free chance in box buy put it wide, well wide, and a missed header left Evans (I think?) to sky over when finding space in the box.
Over all a fair result, but again we worked hard, ran the channels, built up tempo in attack and coped with most things in and around our own box.
A good game, although would it have been better to sub Pitman instead of Collins? Any chance in box last few minutes falls to pitman it's usually in the net.... ?
That's ultra critical, we played well and deserved a share. Most would have been content with draw pre match, so content I am.....but what if we could have just held on to our 2 goal lead....🤔 ?

Two points dropped as The Gas let slip a comfortable two goal lead. It was a game of two halves, with Bristol Rovers having the better of the first half and Tranmere Rovers dominating the second half. The Gas had chances to win the game, with an open goal missed right at the end.
The game started perfectly for The Gas, with a goal within the first five minutes. Josh Grant rose to head The Gas in front, the perfect delivery met with the perfect finish. The Gas made it 2-0 with a goal from a corner on the left side, slotted home from within six yards by Sam Nicholson.
Tranmere Rovers pulled a goal back with their only chance in the first half, a hopeful cross was not dealt with and the Tranmere player managed to drag the ball back and place it round James Belshaw.
James Belshaw made a superb save just before half time to ensure that The Gas went into the break in the lead.
The feeling at this point was that the game was fully in control, and it was only a matter of time before we would score again. Alas, that did not happen and the second half was largely dominated by Tranmere Rovers who managed to keep us pegged back inside our own half for large periods of the half.
Approaching the hour mark, Bristol Rovers have taken their foot of the Gas. inviting Tranmere Rovers on to them. They need to step up the tempo and play with a sense of urgency.
With fifteen minutes to go, the Tranmere pressure paid off as the visitors equalised.
The match ended 2-2 with both teams having chances in the last few minutes to win the game. The move of the game resulted in Sam Nicholson with a golden opportunity to take all three points with a clear shot on goal from twelve yards. Unfortunately, the shot was dragged wide.
Another point gained and a reasonable performance from The Gas. I felt that this game was there for the taking and it feels like two points dropped. Still, four points out of the last two games is a good return and something to build upon. We are only four points off the playoffs so there is everything to play for and the team are performing much better than they were one month ago.
UTG.

Fair result, could have won it at the death but not to be, still much better than earlier in the season. UTG

We got a wee bit tired today, but after the Cobblers and Ox battles it's hardly surprising. The players have put in a significant amount of miles this week.
We kept battling away against a fresher Tranmere team and got close to winning the game near the end.
I thoughts Coutes had a good game today, making himself available, control n pass and keeping our game moving along.
It's been a very good week, that saw us unbeaten, into the 2nd round of the Cup and now only 4 points off the play off places.

Mem-stock at Gas-tonbury looked alright.
Need more tents. I'll bring some joss sticks next home game.

He did sometimes keep ball going, but within that I thought he played a hospital ball across our mid, and literally give away possession which led to dangerous counter.....I get it's a team game, I get that his contributions might be more organisational skills that we won't see explicitly and he's large in the dressing room (!) I just don't see his midfield prowess!? I prefer Ollie Clarke. Whom scored twice today.

This is something I don’t understand as i played both football and rugby plus i did weights and was a champion fencer and I couldn’t wait to take part in all of them. I know things have changed a lot since those days and professional players, of any sport, are athletes now but surely guys of their age should not be tired due to playing a couple of times in a week. If i was part of a winnng team then the games could not come soon enough but i was only involved with two teams who had such records.

You might be thinking of Anderson on the first Tranmere goal. He lost out at the back post to the scorer. Some were saying a foul was committed. I've watched the highlights think it was fine. The player handed him off at worse, and was just stronger in the challenge. I didn't see Alfie struggling - thought he had a good game.

Well not a perfect game granted, but a player like him comes in handy.Usually we keep possession with him.Apparently he ran 14 kms in Tuesdays game, which I asdume is a big shift. I was a big Ollie Clarke fan.A decent midfielder.

Just thought again about the game. Anthony Evans is mighty good for division 4, isn't he?

I certainly enjoy his style. His corners and fee kicks are excellent. He runs at the opposition can beat a player and he gets stuck in to win the ball. 3rd tier quality, maybe 2nd.

Beginning to think that the manager's claim that we'd get promoted this season, may have some legs. The likes of Evans, Whelan, Grant, Finley, Nicholson and others are fine players and they seem to have finally gelled.

Frustrating not to win after being 2-0 up. I guess Tranmere did to us today what we’ve being doing to others recently. Sounds a decent performance though and perhaps the mid week match with extra time when Tranmere rested might have had an impact. It’s a shame because those 2 points cost us 4 places in the table. Long way to go yet. Well done the team though it’s another decent performance. Move on to the next match. Other results showed this division is nothing special and keep doing what we’re doing at the moment with a few changes here and there we’ll be ok. Oldham beating Port Vale is a perfect example of it being very open.

I didn't clock that Lee Jones is Tranmere's goal-keeping coach.

The foul thing was touted in real time too ... On reflection I think it's a valid goal. Actually, that gaslights me..... he's not at best a rwb/rb, and I hope this is looked at moving forward...
