It's reported Oxford will select a team with one eye on their 3rd tier fixtures coming up.Mathew Taylor is not certain to play ,but reading between the lines his arm injury will be okay.
Rovers injury list was not added to after Saturday's great win v Northampton Town, but Whelan will miss this cup game through suspension.
I wonder what changes Joe will make?
1900 kick off, looking forward to it!

Looking forward to this one - a cup game under floodlights usually has a special atmosphere.
Strange kick-off time, will mean leaving home around 16.00, might need to try the new catering outlets for dinner.

I suspect Oxford will be very competitive here and not want to be knocked out by us. what I remember from the 0.2 mem loss earlier this year, we played pretty well, 🐍 hung on the last man and exploited space in behind. He went off early on his first return to the mem didn’t he

Pity it’s not on ifollow. Guess it’s something to do with rights to show premier league teams further into the competition.
Premier league teams have little soul so I vote to get rid of them.

Alfie seems to get under the skin of Mathew Taylor and I imagine there may be a competitive moment or two between them. Will Joe be very protective of any players for Saturdays Tranmere Rovers game or select 'benchers' to give them a game because it's 'only' the Cup?

As it’s a cup game I presume it won’t be on the website.
Was tempted to go, but had my Pfizer booster yesterday and feel absolutely wiped out now.

Its a tricky one this, as i sure along with the fans the management will want a ciup run. Also does Joey keep the same team, bearing in mind Swindle did not play at the weekend.and our players who put in a hell of a shift must be knackered?
Nevertheless what ever team Joey puts out, at least we go into it knowing the players will give it a right go!

Tranmere no mid -week game so they will be fresh for Sat but at least Whelan will have a nice rest.Wonder if we'll see Jaakkola or Rodman again?

It's the pantomime season and there's always a villain....will the antagonist get just rewards tonight?
I missed the friendly pre season. Won't miss this unfriendly mid season.
I see a tough match probably going the distance, narrow defeat or possibly going out on pens.... I'm taking it goes straight to pens, rather than extra time?
As long as no injuries or suspensions, then our league position takes priority over this nice little sideshow.... because in all honesty, what's the point in fixture congestioning yourself if you're not going to draw a biggy (oooer missus)?
Don't forget to give him some grief...

Is Whelan definitely suspended for tonight then?
If so, might we be forced to shift things about a bit and play Rodman?

On Radio Oxford FM, pretty certain I can get that online, thus no need to listen to Brookman interminable rubbush or Lucy Ford slandering JB or whatever she chooses to ring in and rant about.
