What is the 'D' in OXF v BRD ?? Soft penalty that. Not a goal-scoring chance. Their player in the act of clearing the ball and our player puts himself between man and ball. I always find these a bit harsh, when the player fouled comes out of eyeshot of the player committing the 'foul'... But we'll take it.

Anthony Evans is proving to be a great asset to the team. I would imagine he is being watched already. Always liked the look of him and Luke I forget his name, who doesn’t get much gametime. Bot seem very talented players Luke Thomas, got there in the end, think he is a player with high potential Thought Evans had a great game today. Best dead ball taker I have seen at Rovers for some time. Some great and different corner routines today which produced 3 decent chances. Have often have I moaned over the years about all our corners being not only useless but exactly the same as the previous one. Clearly a lot of work going on during training.

I’ll be honest - watching Taylor score and run around cupping his ears, I don’t care if we punch the ball in the net at the other end a la Diego, I’d still take it

Since when did a penalty have to be given for stopping a goal chance? Collins was clearly taken out and it was a penalty all day long. Rovers were so on top at that point we would have probably scored anyway without the penalty. I can't recall a more impressive away cup performance at a league side for years.

I like Connor Taylor as much as anyone, but he gets lost in no man's land ball watching (for the first goal), when if he had continued to mark the 🐍 it would have been a simple cut out.
Easy finish from him as no one marked or tracked his run...

See what Wael and Barton between them have done to our club, a 2-2 draw at a club from a higher division, and one that we've traditionally had a bit of a rivalry with, and although the thread started a day early, it's still not filled 2 pages. Punchy out. Not really Dukey. Another good performance and a decent result, harder for people to do the standard moaning however much they want to, hence little activity. That said, I'm sure some people will try

No dispute that it's a good result at a team a division and a half ahead of us and we should be pleased by the resilience of the players. We may have rode our luck (woodwork etc), but these things even themselves out in time.
What is disappointing (to me anyway) is that a section of our support think it's "banter" to sing about having a party when Matty Taylor is dead. He was brilliant for us and we t to a bigger club in a higher division for a huge pay rise, during a short career.
Anyway, Barton out.

Great to hear!

Agree Doc, I think it appalling, very distasteful Its football for gods sake. Talk about 'perspective'.

Thomas though isn’t our player? Was he missing because of cup tie? Has his parent received a few enquiries?
The one downer from this result though is three points home to Tranmere is the priority, a flat performance that Friday night in a draw because of this replay is not ideal.
As I said before game, I fancied us here, and fancied us at Harrogate, but I don’t fancy more than 4 points out of the next 15.

The answer here is no, despite what you may claim. Sticks and stones, and all that... The real nastiness is the elbowing of Kilgore, that can cause real damage....but it gets brushed over because poor someone bemoans the fact that some unkind words were sung and it hurt his poor feelings. Pathetic. Many many workplaces endure harsher conditions than 90mins of baiting. Many schools do too. Bullying is rife on some building sites, factory places and even in Houses of Parliament. I'm not condoning it, I'm just pointing out in my opinion he gets everything he deserves, because he 100 % brought it on himself and sympathy runs at zero...

We will have to disagree regarding Matthew Taylor then.
Barton out.

We will have to disagree regarding Matthew Taylor then. Barton out. I agree with you Doc. It sounded pathetic on the radio yesterday and you just knew that once again it would bite us on the arse and he would score.

Alfie rattled Snake (🙂) on his return to the Mem.Tuesday week might be a good game.

You have to go back nearly 20 years on 6th January 2002 for a superb hat-trick from Nathan Ellington v Derby at Pride Park in a 1-3 victory. With this victory, Bristol Rovers became the first Third Division club to knock a Premiership club out of the FA Cup.
