With games coming thick and fast... let's hope we get some players back from injury or we could be sucked back in to the relegation dog-fight. Crewe firm favourites this evening at (generally) 4-7, the draw 3-1 and the Gas win as wide as 5-1. We don't play them very often. Crewe wins 10 Draw 9 Gas wins 4 The last Gas win was back in October 1996. I am not hopeful this evening.

Tough match in the Covid Subbetto League Tonight but the Gas do welcome back Ehmer and. Oztuner so my heart leans towards 3 points to the Gas but my head tells me Crewe do have home advantage as they are used to playing in front of no fans - Nevertheless I am going for an away win! UTG

They've won two followed by three draws so time for a defeat. We've won two, lost, won, lost so time for a draw. I think we'll win 2-1.

Dreadful weather quite draining. Its a good job there aren't any grounds on the somerset levels. Otherwise due to the high winds here the players would have to contend with cow pats being the main source of defence.

No Otzumer or Nicko, and apparently five at the back. Its not going to be pretty. shocking clueless team selections and substitutions from this manager. Four centre backs. 1 full back. 2 holding midfielders. And nothing on the bench to help get a point once we go behind. Shocking the window has been open so long without any forwards brought it. We didn’t need forwards for February but January. And December, November, October I’ll get behind them. But this is rubbish

Just sold their captain NG to Cardiff today it seems, so possible disruption in their ranks

Crewe wins 10 Draw 9 Gas wins 4 The last Gas win was back in October 1996. I am not hopeful this evening. I'm pretty sure that was the game where an on loan Jamie Cureton scored a worldy - a 40 yard volley at the clubhouse from there right hand side almost by the dugouts. Probably memory embellishes it but I think that's the best goal I have ever seen a Rovers player score live. It was also massively against the run of play as Crewe, who were near the top with one of Gradi's classic squads which I think included Don Hutchinson and maybe Danny Murphy, battered us. We then completed the daylight robbery with Andy Gurney scoring a deflected 2nd. I can remember all that but I can't remember what the score was in a game that happened a fornight ago! Funny how solid your early memories of football are - I think it's the same for every fan.
Someone's probably going to pipe up now that none of that happened and it was a different year anyway.....

We can do nothing other than try to defend with the semi-forced team selection tonight, cannot see a point or three coming our way, struggling for enthusiasm at near 3:00am, but hey ho COYB!, surprise me!,,.
