Some would argue this game should be a straightforward win for The Gas but that would be presumptuous in the extreme. Crawley’s defeat at Exeter last week was their first in six matches and they have lost just three of their last ten games which suggest they are in good form. They, like Rovers, were also hit by international commitments last weekend with Josh Yorwerth, a loanee from Ipswich, involved with the Wales under-21’s. We of course have Eliis Harrison and Tom Lockyer back and from reading the match reports they may well have been the difference between winning and losing at Carlisle last week. Rovers haven’t lost at home since the mid-week game against Stevenage last October when o2o2bo2ba posted on the match thread: “A healthy near 6000 crowd were dished up the same drivel that had let down the Mem in previous games” and I had pleaded, “Can we have a modicum of success…”. Things have well and truly moved on since then and we’re are now seeing much improved on-field performances with a genuine shot at automatic promotion. Today’s ref is Fred Graham who is no stranger to the Mem having officiated in Rovers games as far back as 2008 when we were in League One!!! So then, predictions… we owe Crawley one after they beat us 2-1 at their place back in November and it’s also time to right the wrongs of Carlisle and get back to winning ways. I’m feeling confident (which is always a bad sign) but I’m going for a 3-1 win anyway! COYB!

Team wise, the logic would point to 4-4-2 considering we're light in CM and Bodin and Montana are in great form.
My personal preference would be:
Mildy
Leadbitter Lockyer Parkes Brown
Bodin Lines O Clarke Monty
Taylor Gaffney
But DC's personal preference when it's a back 4 seems to be J Clarke Lockyer Mecca Brown; so if I was to predict the team it would be that back 4 and the rest of the team as mine.
However if Creepy's primary tactic is to lump the ball upto Harrold who isn't exactly going to be charging down the channels, maybe we're better off with a 3-5-2 giving the wing backs license to cause havoc and giving us an extra man in the middle. The reports were that Easter did well in the hole, DC seems to rate Lawrence and Bodin would be hard to drop with 3 goals in 2 games.
If we went with Mildy, Leadbitter, J Clarke, Parkes, Macca, Brown, O Clarke, Lines, Bodin, Taylor, Gaffney would allow us to switch between the the two although alternating between either Bodin on Leadbitter as the square peg in round hole. Would also involve leaving Monty out which would be harsh on recent form.
Either way I think we'll be boosted with Lockyer and more significantly by having Ollie and Ellis on the bench as they're far better impact players than anything we had on the bench at Carlisle.
Am I thinking about this too much?

We didn't have any impact players on the bench at Carlisle because they'd already been impacted after 22 minutes!
I don't think we'll see McChrystal or O Clarke in the starting line up today, is my prediction.

Thanks for the quote! :-)
Fair and accurate.
I've seen a fair few home and away games since, and I think we've been on a steady curve upwards side then (fa cup apart) with certain brilliant performances reinforcing our genuine promotion candidacy. Well done us!
Please serve up more of the Cambridge drive, to send the healthy 9,000 (ish) home happy like in previous games at the Mem... (kinda similar quote!)
Gas 2-0. Warm welcome back to Matty Harrold. Will neve forget you were there in May when we needed all the support we could get. Top man. UptheGas..

Don't know why but got a bad gut feel on this one. Creepy have had some results in Bristol and knocked the 82 out of the cup. One of those times where I hope I am wrong and that DC makes me eat my words yet again. I am still worried by our midfield. We don't push up and we seem to be lacking in numbers at times. Away teams could take advantage of this by running directly but am hoping we see the best Linesy turn up today. I feel we are best when we actually go for the win. Am hoping we take this by the scruff and get two decent goals by HT Just very happy to be able to go again. This will be my 3rd game on the bounce, not been able to do that all season. Hoping it continues and up until we get promoted ! UTFG

Abysmal first half. Look like a team with their season finished and nothing to play for. It is so slow a must come out and do more going forward. Montana has to come on for me.

5h1t player that Taylor mind Good to see an away team come to attack. Very good advert for L2. Loving the buzz and genuinely good vibe amongst gasheads right now. I would love to see Montano on and Lawrence off. I'm struggling to see, once again, what he brings. Others agree

Liam Lawrence scores a free kick that would grace any division and comes straight off for Montano b
