Britain's Andy Murray missed out on a place in the China Open final as he lost 6-3 6-4 to Novak Djokovic.
World number one Novak Djokovic claimed his fifth China Open title with a 6-0 6-2 demolition of Czech Tomas Berdych.
Djokovic 27 who has never lost in Beijing, won in just 66 minutes for a 24th consecutive China Open match win.
Murray, 27, has moved up to ninth in the Race to London standings, with the top eight qualifying for November's season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Andy Murray came from a set down to beat David Ferrer 5-7 6-2 7-5 in the final of the Vienna Open.
The victory means he moves ahead of the Spaniard in the race to qualify for the World Tour Finals.
The win means the Briton leapfrogs Ferrer, 32, and moves up to eighth in the race to London.
Murray, whose only other title success this year was at last month's Shenzhen Open, will now travel to Valencia for a tournament that carries 500 points before playing in Paris, where there are 1,000 on offer for the winner, in the last event before the season finale at the O2 Arena.

Andy Murray "melted down and collapsed" in his Australian Open final loss to Novak Djokovic, according to two-time Melbourne finalist Pat Cash.
With the score at one set each, the Briton, 27, led 2-0 in the third before losing 12 of the next 13 games in a 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-0 defeat.
"He needs a good, hard look in the mirror and to get his head together," Australian Cash told BBC Radio 5 live.
"He melted down, he absolutely collapsed," Cash said. "He will feel he let everyone down, but he has to look at it and say 'I can't do this again'.
"Things started snowballing for him once he lost concentration and in the fourth set everything went against him.
"I feel sorry for him and he is a seriously good player, but if he is to become a great player he has to fix this. He's got to focus on why he had the meltdown. If he works on that I can see him holding the Wimbledon trophy again."
However, BBC commentator John Lloyd, who was a beaten finalist at the Australian Open in 1977, felt Murray's decline was similar to those the Scot suffered in the early stages of his career.
"He unfortunately went back to his old, pre-Lendl days, where things weren't going right and he'd blame his group and get negative," Lloyd said.
"Sometimes you can blow up in a match and immediately get back on track. But when Murray used to do it he would go into these periods where it would affect him for games on end and that's what happened again.
"But to give the match away because of those lapses is inexcusable from a person that has won two Grand Slams. It again showed his weakness and he has to correct that."
The first two sets were edge of the seat stuff, i thought we might get a five set classic...until the collapse. All credit to Murray, he got to another slam final, Djoko was beatable if Andy could of only held it all together.

He could sustain the effort, Murray had shot his bolt after the first 2 sets.

Spain's Rafael Nadal won a record-equalling 46th career clay-court title with a 6-4 6-1 victory over home favourite Juan Monaco in the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires.
Nadal moved on to the same number of titles as Monaco's compatriot Guillermo Vilas.
Roger Federer beat world number one Novak Djokovic 6-3 7-5 to win his seventh Dubai Championship title.
The Swiss, playing in his 126th ATP final, served brilliantly throughout to trouble Djokovic and also pass 9,000 aces in singles matches.

I thought Murray reaching #1 might elicit some comment on here! A tremendous achievement, and hopefully the start of a dominant period for Murray.

Andy Murray could play doubles at Wimbledon but has effectively ruled out competing in the singles this year.
The former world number one had a hip resurfacing operation in January and has since said he is "pain-free".
No player has competed in singles after that operation but American doubles player Bob Bryan has returned.
"It's not enough time," Murray, 32, told the Times. "I'd say there's very little chance I'd play singles during the grass [season].
"Potentially doubles, but I'm not trying to get ready for singles. I've only just started moving now," added the Scot.
Before the surgery, he had said he was planning to retire after Wimbledon, but he now seems more confident of a return to competitive tennis.
"I know from seeing what Bob Bryan has done that for doubles it will be absolutely fine. I'll need to see from there how it would work singles-wise," the twice Wimbledon champion added.
"If I continue to feel good then I will obviously give it a shot in singles and see what happens. In doubles I'm pretty certain I'll be able to play, just based on having an example to look at.
"The thing I said before was that, if I wasn't feeling good, there was more chance that I would play and then stop after Wimbledon. Whereas if it's feeling good, it makes a bit more sense to give it time to make sure that it's as good as possible before I try to play singles on it."
If Murray competes at Wimbledon in the doubles it is unlikely to be alongside brother Jamie, a six-time Grand Slam doubles champion.
Jamie said at the weekend: "For me, these are the peak years in my career and if I go to play Wimbledon with someone who hasn't hit a tennis ball in eight months, I'm kind of giving up one of those years, so that's a big decision for me to take.
"Circumstances might dictate otherwise, but I want to give myself the best chance of winning the tournament. Normally I would have a good chance with Andy, but probably right now he's not in his peak moment."
