H.T. 1-2 but we have had three yellows so stay cool boys. It’s foreseeable that there will be a red card in this game. The ref has that small man syndrome whilst Barton’s players are playing like they have deep heat in their pants.

Well oh well of well. What a result against a very, very good Port Vale team.
We have given ourselves a chance and are right back in the automatic promotion mix now.
On to Forest Green and (another) must win game.
Up the Gas!

Loft booking for excessive celebration. Wait until we beat Scunthorpe to seal automatic promotion if you want to see excessive celebration.

I really enjoyed that. 2:30am in Sydney and probably woke the neighbours after the loft conversion.

Have you made it into another bedroom? I was cautioned the same time as Loft. Thankfully I’ve stayed on the pitch. Great effort by the whole team. Can’t wait to bring this meaty team to the vegans.

Great win, great tactics, best team won. Really happy for Lofty, 6pts from two tough fixtures oh yes. UTG Coutts best player on the pitch for me.

This is a tale of two excellent managers but who’s going to come on top? The story all begun before the War, Covid and Brexit At the time the Gas Club Owner’s hands were tied due to family politics, as a result of that we lost DC, who was arguably the best manager we had ever had. GC was appointed and in fairness done a good job for us. But the style of football was incredibly dull and despite closing in on possible promotion, did nothing to put ‘bums on seat’s’ He left possibly because he felt undervalued by club and fans ( who has gone on to produce ‘jack s**t’ ) So the Club owner, it would appear had already lined up a new kid on the block in BG, it did not go particularly well, and fan pressure forced the Owner’s hands. In this instance somewhat prematurely ( Who has Garnered currently good stint at Swindle) Next appointment was a definite panic job in PT admittedly he wasn’t given long, just enough time to sort out his wardrobe. Finally onto the current incumbent ‘Bad Boy’ JB who continued to live up to his name. He had however started to make a difference on and off the pitch as far as the football side is concerned. Another moment of ‘madness’ resulted on immense pressure from the fans who brayed for ‘his head’ The Club owner, who must have seriously contemplated another change, did a Tammy Wynette Fortunately , the owner kept his nerve and we are where we are now and the anti ‘Joey Jobies’ who do have every right to dislike JB on moral ground’s however unfounded claims. that we have a divided fan base is absolute poppycock. I cannot in all my time watching the Gas seen better football played and games selling out weeks in advance Tomorrow at five a clock, after a battle with Vale, will be wishing DC. all the very best and hope that they can go up by via the play offs UTG Darrell Clarke is one of the excellent managers. I'm not sure who the other one is? As a manager you are judged on your achievements, and Barton hasn't actually achieved anything. As for GC, he actually told you why he wanted to leave. It was a job closer to home and he missed his family. There was a way to go around leaving, and he went about it in entirely the wrong way. It’s gone 5 and JB has now got one managerial hand on his first promotion with his team who were bloodily awesome today as I said we wish Dc all the best in the playoffs As far as GC is concerned, i agree to announce he’s leaving after a superb win at Ipswich was s**tty and I don’t believe his ‘spend more time with the family’ political hogwash after all he spent six years at Plymouth near Mansfield not!

Match Report:
Rovers are victorious at Vale Park in a game which saw James Connolly and Ryan Loft both score their first goals for the club!
Antony Evans returned to the starting line-up ahead of the clash at Vale Park with Sam Nicholson dropping to the bench.
The Gas suffered an early setback in the game. James Wilson's cross deflected off Jamie Proctor and past a helpless Belshaw to give the Valiants an early one-nil lead at Vale Park despite cries for offside from the Rovers players.
Connor Taylor was shown the first caution of the tie just past the eighth minute. after a crunching challenge on James Wilson. It took the Gas only minutes to draw level. A precise pass from Captain Paul Coutts found Elliot Anderson who made no mistake with his finish, firing hard and true past Stone in the roof of the Vale net.
The Gas took the lead for the first time in the game 10 minutes before the break. An enticing Antony Evans corner goes all the way to the back post where James Connolly was on hand to bundle the ball home for his first Rovers goal. The home side put the Gas under pressure at the start of the second half. Benning tried to work an angle to put the ball into the box. The winger was expertly tracked by Luca Hoole who managed to squeeze the ball out for a corner kick to the hosts.
A David Worrall cross fell kindly to Mal Benning inside the Rovers penalty area. The Vale No.11 looked to fire a powerful effort towards the goal but was swarmed by the Rovers defenders and Connor Taylor threw himself in front of the goalbound effort where it bounced behind for a corner kick.
A neat turn from James Wilson presented substitute Dan Jones with a chance to run at goal. Belshaw was quick off his line to close down the Vale attacker and Jones' poked effort rolled behind for a goal kick to the Gas.
The first Rovers changes were introduced with just under 10 minutes left to play. Nick Anderton replacing Antony Evans and Ryan Loft coming on for Aaron Collins.
The final Rovers change saw Paul Coutts replaced by Glenn Whelan as the Gas looked to see the game out.
Ryan Loft finished the tie deep into added time. A superb Sam Finley ball played in the striker who lofted his finish over Stone in front of the ecstatic 2,222 travelling Gasheads for his first goal for the club.
The win keeps the Gas in the hunt for the automatic play-off places and face league leaders Forest Green Rovers in our double-header on Saturday, 23rd April where our women's team will play immediately after at The Mem.
