I read some of the Barton comments about positivity, how he didn't want fans with me a negative attitude. They made me laugh, but saddened. You are right Swiss about Maher, it appears far less of an attempt to promote a culture of a "Cult" In the meantime drawing 0-0 at home to Mansfield is brilliant, allegedly. We have apparently turned a corner with excellence now running through the football club and JB was hoping to put another brick in place today. When I read that I couldn't help but be grateful that one of the first things Dwane Sports did in 2016 was to improve the sanitary facilities at the Mem. Yet nobody is asking why we haven't heard from Wael for so long ? Perhaps he is embarrassed with languishing in L2, embarrassed perhaps with having employed a demonstrable half wit. Who knows. But as long as we eke out a draw with Mansfield in L2 after losing to bottom of the table Oldham, then everything is great. All hail Joey

Before Southend United's recent game against Bromley Kevin Maher made the comments below which I think are interesting when compared to JB's programme notes today. What stands out for me is that there is no demand for Southend fans to be grateful to their owner, CEO, Community Trust, or groundsmen and there is no attempt to stifle legitimate criticism or any implication that "if you are not with us you are against us". Kevin says in a simple understated way that he is grateful for the fans support whereas JB seems determined to take the "gratefulness culture" at Rovers to new levels and to vilify anyone who disagrees with him. Kevin Maher's attitude is far more in keeping with the BRFC I once knew but I understand that these days fans are willing to forsake standards of dignity and sincerity so long as they think it will bring Rovers success. But will it ? SOUTHEND United’s match against Bromley will be watched by a bumper crowd at Roots Hall tonight. Blues have already sold 7,600 tickets for the National League clash as Kevin Maher’s side aim to make it eight league games without defeat. And Maher remains incredibly grateful for the support. “To see the number of tickets being sold is a real credit to the fans,” said the Blues boss. “They’re right behind us and they’ve been brilliant lately. “It makes a massive difference on the pitch and you can see that with the late goals we’ve got. “When the crowd stays with you like that it can make a big difference.” Blues last played in front of a crowd of more than 7,000 at Roots Hall back in February 2020 against Coventry City I read some of the Barton comments about positivity, how he didn't want fans with a negative attitude. They made me laugh, but saddened. You are right Swiss about Maher, it appears far less of an attempt to promote a culture of a "Cult" In the meantime drawing 0-0 at home to Mansfield is brilliant, allegedly. I think that Joeybag, like most people, plays the best cards he has. He hasn't got coherence, wit, warmth or charm, but he has got fighting spirit So the 'you're either with us or agin' is the best card he has Which is a shame

If you are under therapy or know someone who is under therapy you will know the big direction from your therapist or a therapist is the drive to impregnate the patient with a mindset of positivity. It is any therapists stock support mechanism positivity, what the hell was that diatribe this morning posted by the manager on the morning of a Saturday game meant to convey. The whole club appears to be in a state of paranoia from the people in charge, ban negativity ! We have the highest wage bill in Div2 yet sit 14th in the league with two thirds of the season gone and a manager in court again next month with a worst charge hanging over his head than Kurt Zouma. Get on with winning football games, not lecturing us on how we think every morning when we wake up !

I think it’s a good result actually. Between now and end of season matches against form sides, some of which may have been dire first half of season now climbing table, will be harder matches than sides at the very top getting nervous and on wobbly run. The radio commentators were convinced the Collins one was definite penalty.

0-0 draw, at home to Mansfield. League 2. How so dreadfully exciting. It wasn`t a bad game at all. Especially second half. If you weren`t doing your impression of Achilles sulking in his tent, you could have seen for yourself.

It should have been a penalty. We get that you hate everything about Rovers at the moment - that's clear. What's also clear, is that the challenge on Collins should have resulted in a penalty.

I actually think Aaron put himself across O'Tooles leg and then made an over acted dive. The ref got it right.Just my opinion on the 'big moment ' from yesterdays game against the 'unbeatable Stags'.I enjoyed the game by the way.
On Joe i'm 100% behind him.
He is fantastic for Rovers and we're lucky Wael hired him.
I'm already looking forward to Tuesdays game against new boys Sutton United.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the Mem games and it's satisfying to know the club is on an upward trajectory.
Edit. Could someone post the email on support etc from JB please.

I've just read JBs programme notes and message to Gasheads.
So I assume this is the same as the email many recieved.
Written after the disapointing Oldam Ath defeat.
I think it a brilliant message! Absolutely spot on!

Like Columbo wandering around Hades for eternity, repeatedly hinting to the wrong suspect 'I know it was you'. But it was'nt.

Just got a round robin email from t’clown Barton banging on about wanting more, and noisier, support today after the loss on Tuesday, can’t remember much more even after reading it all as it is in my iPad’s trash bin. There would be more support if he were to leave, get sacked again, get banned by the FA again, get jailed again… What a ridiculous post. Why don’t you go and support Swindon or the Sh1t, or in fact any other club. You obviously don’t support Rovers so why bother commenting? OK, I’ll rise. I’ve been to over 110 grounds with Rovers, the Isle of Mann, Denmark/Sweden, Spain, Holland, Ireland etc over 50 years of following the team. I have a season ticket. I still wear my scarf, follow each game in a variety of ways, watch the highlights and I am happy to win and saddened by a loss… So please do not accuse me of not being a Rovers fan, I even won what was then the Evening Post Fan of the Year, I was a fan then and I am now and always will be. It’s Barton I have a problem with and will not attend matches again until he is gone. Even if Joey is still here, I will buy my season ticket again. (That’s all I’m going to write. It is so divisive, and personal abuse about being a ‘fan’ is unnecessary.)

Work on Saturdays actually.🤪 Not that I feel any motivation to watch the Barton team.

I've just read JBs programme notes and message to Gasheads. So I assume this is the same as the email many recieved. Written after the disapointing Oldam Ath defeat. I think it a brilliant message! Absolutely spot on! Depends how you read it apparently, Bas. Are you one of those who have forsaken Rovers standards of decency, etc.? Haha!🙂👍 No football team in the world wants negativity any where near them! As Joe pointed out the lads love that Mem Gashead racket cheering them on. Negativity drags you down in all walks of life. Positive cheering lifts you. It's commonsense to want your team to be cheered on and perhaps especially so,after a disapointing defeat. Those moaning about this message from Joe are habitual moaners and anti JB-ers. Clearly mischief making. As usual. For all their experience of following Rovers,I think there's a naivety about their thinking.Quite surprising. Not to be taken too seriously. In the past we had the "get rid of Lennie" brigade. That was a rubbish idea. More recently we had "get rid of GC" brigade. That was another rubbish idea. Now up to date,we have the "get rid of JB" brigade.A rubbish idea. By the way, congratulations if you've achieved a hattrick of the "rubbish ideas" mentioned. Such foresight and deep understanding of football. I just wish they would wake up,stop buggering about and get up the Mem (if they are currently not attending) and cheer our Rovers on!
