3 points and a much improved performance. Well done lads and Joey! Bas, you are so very wrong. I wouldn't care if they got 303 points for winning tonight, I still want that disgusting individual away from Rovers.

How I hate back threes. Done for Oldham. Gas simply hitting long balls into the channel and chasing them, and the Oldham 3 all at sea. That is the main explanation for the result. Another key take out was Rovers lack of class and composure in front of goal so reminiscent of last season. Another take out, Grant looks no better this season than last. He will be benched for the returning captain; Rodman man of match for me, a class act in his elder statesman period That would be Grant who was instrumental in the goal? Also seemed to be the go to man to get instructions from the bench during the game. Not sure Coutts should come straight back in.

Well.........I’m happy we won..... Not much joy on here about a positive result ? UTG Agreed. Thought we played really well first half, and should have had the game sewn up. Second half was less convincing, but still thought we were well worth the win. Was happy with the way we saw the game out. Most of the five extra minutes, were played deep in Oldham territory. Spared me any heart stopping moments. Be nice to have a drink to celebrate, rather than to dull the pain, like last Sat.

Just got back..
Ok, come on.... who's been hiding this team's performance after the cr@p I've watched for 270 mins this season?
Passing and movement. Running the channels. High tempo attack football. Shots from everywhere. Following up lost cause balls. Strong in challenge. Sublime move for the goal. Plenty of scoring opportunities. Covering at the back A keeper can be confident of. Dominant in first half. Energy and enthusiasm pushing forward.
As good a first half as we have seen, it was like having some of our old Rovers back.... second half we couldn't keep up tempo, they had a couple of chances but if it was a boxing match, we would've won on points easy.
Really liked Hughes/Anderton & Saunders/Collins partnerships....ably assisted and supported by Finley and Anderson....my m o m was Saunders for his endeavour and goal he deserved. He just never gives up.
Special mention to Belshaw....a keeper inspiring confidence. Jaaks (for me) has been shaky so a much improved goalkeeping situation appears to have solved...(?)
Thatcher's End in full voice, but much echoed in East and West too....a good night at the Mem helping restore some much needed confidence and pride in the shirt.
Well done JAB, a great orchestrating win v opponents that look like that may struggle this season..
On to a stuttering Exeter. We have a poor record in Devon, we can surely test this on Saturday?

Really, really welcome victory this evening!
First half was amazing. Positive, free flowing attacking football. I lost count of the number of decent chances we had. We had what looked like three penalties not given (admittedly from the other end of the pitch).
The goal was well deserved and capped off an excellent first half. I so needed that after Saturday!
Second half was poor, we did not have the same energy and sat back a lot. Oldham could so easily have equalised, or even won the game.
On the whole, I felt we were good value for the three points. A much improved performance, albeit with a lot of improvement required.
Good to see Pitman get a run towards the end.
WE SCORED AT HOME!!!!!!
UTG.

If the highlights show it, Finley does a sort of reverse shimmy to break away and give himself time to pass out to Anderson, who finds space to break free and cross pinpoint for Saunders....a great move. What I liked about tonight is we created so much, as opposed to waiting to take advantage of unforced errors....we were pro active in first half.

Was Grant who made that pass to Anderson Really!?? The shimmy in mid was Grant? Anderson looks a quality player. He was the only one who impressed me in the game against Cheltenham, and he`s carried on since. Excellent first touch. Seems able to control any ball that`s played to him, no matter how awkward. Hope he can keep it up for the rest of the season. Nice to see us play with some width.

He suffered a couple of heavy tackles as Oldham sought to nullify him. He ended up having to go off and he was limping for some time before that. I hope he's OK for Saturday because he's electric. There were about 4 or 5 scouts sitting behind us in the Poplar stand, one of them had a Sheff. Wednesday coat on. I hope they weren't scouting Anderson!

Agreed re: Anderson. He ran himself ragged last night, as did Thomas. Great effort from them both. Rodman was great when he came on too.
Have read elsewhere that some thought the ref was crap. Not sure he got much wrong other than the strange free kick against Rodman after he'd nutmegged their left back.

I posted about this evenings football match. You've said multiple times that people will change their minds if the team win. Not a chance. "Multiple times"? I'm just about past caring what the obsessed anti JB think. Sick of reading it and hearing creepy snide remarks on the terrace. Refreshing to read such positive reports on last nights football match and that's what I'm going back to. Okay, you won't change your mind,I get it.

So much better last night. More pace and energy.
Like Anderson from the 2 games I have seen.
I was a bit worried about Oldham at times as when they did have the ball, we gave them too much space at times, but a job well done overall.
Apart from the win, Pitman was the highlight as a laugh. Looked far from fit and some of the tumbles. Not slagging him off, because When fit he will be better than that, but he was so far off any sort of fitness

We deserved that, but had we and Oldham been any good at finishing, it could have been 6-4. Anyway, 3 points at home for the first time for an age. UTG. Potential of better things to come Grant?

Okay, you won't change your mind,I get it. I don`t like the guy. I wouldn`t applaud him onto the pitch, and I wouldn`t applaud him off it. Sing his name? I`d sooner stick my fingers in a food processor. But I wouldn`t stop going. And I want us to win, as much as ever.

Not sure he got much wrong other than the strange free kick against Rodman after he'd nutmegged their left back. Think most refs would have succumbed, and awarded us one of the penalties we appealed for last night. Maybe he was right though. Haven`t seen any of them again.
The Rodman decision was baffling.
