Joeys half time team talk must have been shocking. Awful second half. A few mins left for Oldham to spoil the result.

Pittman looks stout. Like when an ex-player has a run in a testimonial after a few years of retirement.

1-0 win. Not pretty but sorely needed. Well done.

3 points and a much improved performance. Well done lads and Joey! We will have to see what happens against death spiralling Exeter. Our promotion rivals have had a mixed night. Salford losing, Mansfield held.

Salford losing, Mansfield held. Clearly still in the 'getting better' stage and we may well get beaten at St James,but we are improving .

How I hate back threes. Done for Oldham. Gas simply hitting long balls into the channel and chasing them, and the Oldham 3 all at sea. That is the main explanation for the result. Another key take out was Rovers lack of class and composure in front of goal so reminiscent of last season. Another take out, Grant looks no better this season than last. He will be benched for the returning captain;
Rodman man of match for me, a class act in his elder statesman period

Sold goals out the team, struggling for them. Saturdays game will be easier than this one, considering toothless Grecian can’t play defensive in front their own fans. They have a sixteen year old kid in their squad, our men will eat him.

FGR only team with a 100% record intact and Oldham only team now without a point, well done Rovers we are now at a dizzy 15th.

We deserved that, but had we and Oldham been any good at finishing, it could have been 6-4.
Anyway, 3 points at home for the first time for an age. UTG.

No. That was a Oldham defence all at sea in first half, and a frantic, unconvincing Rovers performance. Surely a performance chart needs more than one game on it to claim an improving trend? 🙂 But there is a lonnnnnnnnng way to go. Everyone wanted to play Bolton before last Christmas, they were unstoppable second half of the season and now in higher league. I am confident Rovers will do the same. The only possible fly in the ointment is losing the architect of this promotion bid, but that stuff I won’t put in match threads.

Scored,beat what was infront of us,players getting game time and fitness. Slowly improving. I did point out we may well get beaten at Exeter.
