JB is deceiving us. First, he gaslit last season's squad - even though he had plenty of games to turn them round... and things just got worse.
These are all his players now. He's already moving the goalposts. "It might click by Christmas". Are you joking?! We're not waiting that long.
Why are 3 of our strikers injured? JB was quick enough to criticise previous managers for poor squad fitness. What are the injuries and what caused them?
Where is the midfield dominance we totally lacked last season? Oh yes - our new captain got himself a straight red on his debut.
I fully expect the final chapter of this sorry saga to be JB turning on us the fans. Within weeks.

JB latest P21 W3 D2 L16 F14 A30 14.3% Miserable ain't it. Eagerly awaiting JB's post match comments. Who will he lay the blame on?

Joey Barton must rate as the most consistent manager we have ever had.

The fans are to blame today. Last 15 minutes, big three points, where is the 12th man? All that is coming across on commentary is people shouting like at a crap warm up band at a gig. We lost because of the fans? Exactly what a load of crap.. Stevenage are allowed to win. We have to earn the right.

It’s early days. As I said before kick off, the only problem to fix from last season is lack of flair creating chances. And that has been fixed, there’s more than enough in this squad now, we just haven’t been able to get it on pitch yet. Far too early this stage of a rebuilt team for hyperbole afterthis. Well said, balanced view Emperor

JB has promised not to blame referees anymore. So, who is left? The players... the fans...

He could carry on quoting philosophy while we create NO chances game after game.

Sounds like our fans in the stadium are not doing enough to lift the players. You are letting us down. Dentibus Perficientur..

Just got back..
Oh dear. Again.
Let's ramp up the atmos, let's all turn up in numbers, let's all make a noise and whilst be happy seeing faces; we can take time to reflect on those not with us, let's everyone be smiley and very very positive, let's do our bit as fans and be let down on the pitch. Again.
Bereft of ideas when in possession. A little behind play when not.
We had no creative flow, nothing of movement ahead, nothing to show we wanted to be out there or even try.... it's hard to watch and the general crowd mumblings let out their frustrations on final whistle.....when was the last time there was a booing on the first home match?
Absolutely justified.
I've watched 3 competitive matches now and Harries sublime finish apart, we have let our down with the basics of passing and movement, creating space and shooting. The basics.
Big positive Hoole again. And Anderton. I like Luke Thomas trying and Anderson efforts, but ultimately it was an anti climax and another opportunity missed by not taking advantage of an organised Stevenage but that's all they had to offer.
Not good enough, JAB.....I make it 0/3 of performance/result to be proud of.

I have supported Rovers from 1966 to February 2021.
I really hope we lose the next 6 games and sack the manager, if not before!

Got to admire Stevenage for their second goal. Left two players on the halfway line during our last minute attack, and when we lost the ball... well, you knew what was coming.

To tell truth, I worry for our club. Things have been going wrong for age. I don’t care what others say, but I still believe that something happened inside the club that lead to Graham Coughlan leaving the club, something he didn’t want to be part of. People responsible for running our club are letting it die. There ARE people involved in the running of the club who do not want us to succeed and survive. Time is running out.

Going to be a season of struggle. Can see Barton leaving the club if things don’t improve. But we need our strikers to get fit. 2 games no goals. Bottom of the league. We scored last week? Sorry, forgot that cracker of a goal at Mansfield

Time is running out. 1) Who art these people? 2) We were utter rubbish, nothing up top and no offensive midfield capacity. We passed sideways and backwards. 3) If this is what Barton’s about footballing-wise, the sooner he’s gone the better. Utter, utter sh1te. The boos at the final whistle were deserved. Barton doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing.

Sorry, forgot that cracker of a goal at Mansfield The sentiment is there. Our midfield and strikers need to be the source of creativity and goals. It simply isn't happening.

And now it’s started. Clint Hill has jumped ship.
