The Mobile Mars Bar has more ambition than BG's cautious Rovers

Dominated a poor Wigan team but couldn't find a bit of quality to finish it

Much better performance but still no cutting edge. Perhaps not surprising with a lack of strikers. Really should have won though. I liked that there was a lot more width to our game - we've had successive managers who have played quite narrow. I would welcome the return of width if that's a long-term commitment.

0-0. If ever a game had 0-0 written all over it, this was it.

0-0. If ever a game had 0-0 written all over it, this was it. Most games do at the beginning They would still be there tomorrow and would still look like a 0-0, I would have took the keeper off, we didn't need him

Wigan will go down. They are clueless. We've now managed to fail to score against two very very poor sides. Plenty of work for Tisdale to do. And of course we have to give him time. But, Upson. Really? Really very poor.

You got to remember who we are playing, free fall Wigan who can’t put a team out. Wigan are so poor it was like non league opposition. So that was far worse performance than at swindle. That was easily the worst rovers performance this season. Soon as Garner disappeared all the good things we were doing have stopped, the press, the high press, the good tempo to passing, the keeping it on deck, the taking care possession, consistency in selection and tactic to learn it. All of a sudden last two games we look devoid of quality, zero cutting edge, and nailed on relegation (without cutting edge). Garner should have been given these two games, because we played better under defeats and draws this season under Ben than this clueless rubbish today.
I’m not sure about Tis at all if he is starting upson alongside grant and Westbrook warming bench.

How many shots from Otzumer? How many forward decisive passes from him? He had his best game so far but the three subs got us going forward quicker. For me he can go back in Jan with JML as well. McCormack may keep if we have a buy option at end of season. We need a forward so need to free up a position and salary.

Triple substitution to preserve a point rather than go for an easy win. If that is what tisdale is about then he can f**k off now. We had enough of that under garner. Bristol rovers are much bigger than you as a manager trying to keep yourself in a job.

A handy point, even if WAFC are not the best of teams at the moment.
PTII will now have a good few hours on the training ground towards getting to know his squad.

Oh, dear.
That was like playing non league opposition. And although we had the best of the chances, we looked shaky in defence ourselves.
We looked nervous, ponderous and all over the place but still we were the better team, deserved to win and didn't. We played as poorly as I've seen since Conference days.
We didn't do the basics right by passing, moving and scoring when opportunity presented itself so only have ourselves to blame.
The fruits of our position are becoming apparent to anyone that wasn't aware......we have not replaced jch (whom surely would have scored if presented with any chance tonight) and will pay the price for waiting too long to oust BG..
Seatbelts on (if they weren't already)...

Watched it grinding teeth at 3:00am whilst suffering from Shingles, fell asleep a few times during the proceedings, thought our shape worked better, but poor control and passing/finishing let us down yet again. With no strikers fit, understanding we have recalled Kieran Phillips from Chippenham Town, would be happy to see him start up top, or at least on the bench for Saturday. I don't particularly buy into Tisdale not knowing anything about our players, as he can easily study our last 10 games from playbacks, must even be better than watching them pitchside, I am hopeful he can get us started, as I used up all my dislike capability with BG. And please, anybody who reckons this is the most talented side we have had in the last 10 years, please give that a rest, as it makes me feel sicker than I actually am, onwards and upwards!. UTG!...
