Today is the day. Slippery pitch, promoting slick passing against a leaden footed defence. 3-0 Agree with that. But isn't it traditional to put the home team score first?

If the game goes ahead I just have a feeling that we might bounce back with a win following all of the uproar from last Saturday's turgid performance at Doncaster Rovers. However, if we do lose or draw then I wouldn't much fancy being in Garner's size nines ! “last Saturday's turgid performance at Doncaster Rovers‘ did you watch it? It was a worse than turgid result admittedly. The glass chin undermined some aspects of the performance that was far from turgid. The playing out from the back was quite effective at Turning the opponent times. For a while at 0.0 and still 2.1 we looked the more likely side.

I agree we should give him these few lesser games, although Lincoln have started well. Northampton are allowed to win, but so are we. I am not sure Ben thinks he has the right to beat these teams and is still playing a 'result doesn't matter philosophy' as he has been told his job is safe. Even to the extent of taking us down to bed in this culture, but why sign those players, how was he able to sell the dream to Zain Westbrooke and Sam Nicholson who before long will wish they had joined Portsmouth. This is a must win game, no doubt. I don't believe the Keith Curle factor will be a thing. From what I have seen Rovers are due a win and can kick on, especially if round pegs are played in round holes. 2-0 Gas are Westbrook and Nicholson really all that? Surely they can only have that accolade when we see some of that in a rovers shirt? Nicholson May better show himself in a 4 4 2. I’d like to see a 4 4 2 with These players but it means Ben benchin one of his beloved 3 centre backs, also going 2 in midfield. I can’t see him doing it. A new manager might. The whole point going 4 4 2 is you have to stick with it in order for the players to familiarise their roles in what is a very different system than played so far. the issue we have regardless of formation or manager is turning over the ball. Cocko turned things around by filling mf with experienced tacklers and holders - not an option now because everything coming through door this summer either lack games at this level and/or a ball playing footballer. Another issue we potentially may have have, regardless formation or manager, the boys v men factor. How much inexperienced youth without games at this level? Does this issue show such symptoms as glass chin at back? Lack of chances created? Brushed off ball without winning free kick? Wrong side of goal at both ends? I’ve watched the games and seen a lot of that.

1-2 Northampton. If they play like they did in the play offs we will be out muscled.

Ben said they are good from set pieces. That doesn't bode well

Ben said they are good from set pieces. That doesn't bode well although if Linesy delivers them with his floaty kicks, we're still in with a chance! hope he gets on the pitch - will be good to see him again

Can’tt see us winning today. Will be happy with a draw but ‘over the moon’ if we did win. I really hope we start turning things round today. Will my reality side win or my hopeful side?

Cobblers close. Lucky that chance fell to a defender. We're looking OK though...

Hanlon looks a bit of a handful. Hardon rides challenges really well
