First match I've managed this season I thought was a good game by league two standards, we probably just edged, but county were probably worth a point, like DC said on the radio earlier, it's a clean sheet, a point, let's move onto Saturday and Newport, it's a 46 game season, no one goes up in October, I thought Sinclair, Macca, and Bodin were stand outs for me, but every player put a good shift in, it could be worse guys, we could be Grimsby or Tranmere both having good seasons and by no means certain to be playing league football next year!! Gutted we couldn't put the ball in the net...we will finish above county for sure. Read their forum and you'd be forgiven it was Barcelona they were talking about, probably shouldn't have looked at it- in need of an anger management course now. And they bring two men and dog to watch their dull old side...

Was a game we really could/should have won, not often do I come away thinking we were much better than them. We just lacked the cutting edge in front of goal last night. Was encouraging performance and we did play some nice football by league 2 standards, good to see us passing the ball with some intent going forward, just the end product was missing last night.

I didn't think we were particularly good tonight. We defended well and knocked the ball about prettily, but had all the cutting edge of a wet blanket. Harrison and Easter were the wrong way round, taking Taylor off was wrong, and putting Montano on was a total waste of time. We had the best chance of the night, but if it had gone in we'd be toasting a very dull victory. I thought that after the double substitution Gosling came alive. Not sure if coincidence or if he felt 'well I can't be subbed now' and relaxed. Also wonder if playing left side for any player is harder as they often have to tuck in more to let Brown bomb. Your right lots of 'pretty passing' but that gives the opposition time to organise the defense which is when we then struggle.

Certainly share your sentiments, we played a club that spends it's money on its players not fruitless legal cases. County had ex England, Manure and Leeds Alan Smith and Jonathan Stead well contained and Macca took care of Mcleod who will score plenty looking at his pace and movement, at some stage I think they will click and come Feb/Mar it could well look like a different result altogether and an achievement for a side made up by plenty of ex non league players. Left again thinking how poor the home vocal support is for the team, plenty of noise when Stead had the ball and a couple of Irene's but besides that it didn't feel hugely different to Wycombe a couple of weeks ago, Darrell must be wondering why four straight wins wasn't enough to get the Mem 'bouncing' as he predicted. A decent clean sheet and five unbeaten, time to leave home games for now and follow the noisy rabble away from home, oh has the consortium arrived yet?

They seem to be having an early to mid-season crisis, I'm very pleased to say.

Could be the fact that the team played very well that evening at a tempo way above what I have seen, they were at it from the get go and crowd responded, always seems to be the way though, those that sing seem to want to wait for a reason to get the vocals going rather than a decent pre match build up and then get behind the boys from the first whistle.

I've seen Gareth Ainsworth quoted as saying after the Stevenage defeat, that. . . "There was nothing in the game at all, apart from two extremely poor goals that we conceded.'' He sounded a bit like Special Agent Cotterill in that interview. I don't know about you but I'm loving it, and long may it continue too . . . oh, it has. A 2-0 home defeat to bottom of the table Newport County last night. Presumably they've dispensed with the services of their Health & Safety official.

Yeah, Birmingham was a good one as well. I always try to join in straight away if I hear a lone voice but it's neigh on impossible sometimes to be the instigator.

They like us have lost the income from ground sharing with the rugby team so I imagine money will be a bit tighter as well and could affect their ability to bring in additional players.
