Should DC take Ellis off if he's losing his head? DC was beaten with a stick for not doing it against FGR in the play-off away game. At what point was Ellis losing his head?

Couldn't see a great deal of the game as right behind the goal at pitch level. Even from there I could see Easter dived. Anyway, second half kicking towards us we kept on going. Amazed Taylor didn't concede a foul when their keeper got injured, he was proper f**ked. That turned the last few minutes to our advantage, so was sort of expected that we'd win. Great following and atmosphere. Well done Darrell and the team. Our strikers score again.

Looks like a dive by Easter on the sky higlights.why he went.down when the chance or square ball was there.
Unfortunatley it didnt show the afters of the alleged aiming a head at a defender

Are you Pessimist Gas in disguise? Nothing wrong with being cautious. The sooner we escape relegation the better then onwards towards promotion. every team looks to get enough points to escape relegation. Some think of it as a bonus, we can be more adventurous in our ambitions. No indeed, there most certainly is not. But looking at the league table we are currently lying in 11th position in League Two, with 19pts from 12 games played. This leaves us 3pts outside of the play-off's and 11pts away from the relegation zone. But things can go wrong so quickly can't they. Belts and braces called for here I think.

In my mind your first target is always about 55 points. From there on you can start planning beyond, but until then it's a race to the safety line.

Superb stuff, Matty Taylor was our best striker last season and is proving to be the same this season, the amount of stick he gets is criminal. If Matty Taylor is crap, then i dread to think how you would describe the rest of our strikeforce. Yet again DC showing what a quality manager he is. [br Did you him play today?

A hard earned win. I have to say Mansfield were a team of thugs going elbow first into most aerial challenges. They were trying to swap shirts with us defendng corners which eventually led to one of their players being sent off. Ellis then decided to have a bit of a push and a shove following the sending off incident that got him booked, I think he thought he was defending Locker who had just been slapped across the face. A great atmosphere from the fans, no trouble that I noticed although there was a large Police presence but a very enjoyable afternoon despite 322 miles of driving !

Id be more dissapointed if he didnt bother to stand up for a team mate.

Very few complimentary comments on stags forum.
we were totally outplayed in first half, always whining in the ref's face, one of the worst teams to visit Mansfield, etc etc
as always... All about opinions

I agree with Westcountry, the radio implied that Ellis was close to getting very rattled, need him to stay calm another yellow and he will miss games. I don't think the radio called that correctly, then. There was a bit of a brawl after the Lockyer incident, but that's because the twat who slapped him went for him again after the red card. I'd imagine he'll be looking at a longer ban for his reaction, he certainly should be. Hunt and Harrison were selected by the referee for token yellows when it all calmed down, but Ellis was never close to getting a second one as far as I can remember.

Having seen the highlights now I can see why Ellis did what he did (but he does need to control his emotions) as Lockyer was then pushed/thrown to the ground by a Mansfield player followed by Sinclair being thrown to the ground. Perhaps we should sign a contract with World Wrestling having seen so many of our players in one game being thrown around. And what was that rugby scrum formation before each of their corners all about ?!

Wow, fair play to those that went today, rewarded with a dramatic win (always the best sort)! It was absolutely fantastic to be there yesterday, it was a real classic match in every respect. They are a very good side. We are a rapidly improving side. Our crowd (around 25% of the total) were spectacular. The ref was awful and I don't mind an awful consistent ref, but this twat was all over the place not two consistent decisions. Our players may not have been quite as slick but they were more determined. We had goals sending offs fights injuries they were generally dirty Easter marred our performance with his dive - he deserves a go at panto this christmas. We grew in strength and unity, you could see it ebb away from them (they did go down fighting though). Total of 11 mins of extra time through both halves. Absolutely a privilege to be there. I recon they will still beat Yeovile on Tuesday though!
