Equalled unwanted club record tonight 20 games without scoring set in season 2001/02. An embarrassment that performance.

McCormick apart, the rest of the players are shameful.
McCormick, mate, top of the day to you! You tried. You ran, you ran, you ran some more.... hat's off, you have the Gas spirit and will love you forever for the heart you showed tonight.
The others: Embarrassing. If you wanted to ball watch, come and join me on the sofa with a few beers.....but don't occupy the pitch pretending to be a footballer. You're all a disgrace.

Painful is a polite way of putting it. Barton was brought in to keep us up using his "great motivational skills", as the rookie commentator called it. All he's done is hung the club's soiled sheets out in public and put the blame on everybody and everything but himself. Not the best atmosphere in which to stage a great escape. There's no urgency or energy, just plod, plod, plod. There must be a proper manager out there somewhere. Maybe a German. What's think Nobby? You can't blame Barton. Even Klopp wouldn't be able to motivate this shower, and there is no better motivator in the business. The players are just not good enough. It's that simple. you are talking gibberish. he’s got to set them out properly, Barton’s 3 centrebacks and surrender of the midfield battle will make any team of players look rubbish. The job on the training ground and in a dressing room isn’t fire up, it’s to ensure they play composed joined up football. Calm composed focused on a clear game plan. HOW DARE YOU CRITICISE THE PLAYERS WHEN THERE IS NO FOCUS, COMPOSURE OR GAME PLAN. HOW DARE YOU!

But he's only on loan, so he'll be off and good luck to the lad. He's worked hard for us. Totally agree with everything you've written though.

HOW DARE YOU CRITICISE THE PLAYERS WHEN THERE IS NO FOCUS, COMPOSURE OR GAME PLAN. HOW DARE YOU! I agree with Emperor here - I feared a big defeat tonight and was proved broadly right. MK Dons cut us open with ease. We surrendered the midfield yet again - to a side renowned for controlling possession. Good management is about consistent messaging, constructive engagement, clear "goal-setting" (in its broadest sense) and appropriate reactions to poor performance. JB has constantly changed the team, the formation, called them out in public, blamed referees, blamed everyone but himself.

We've been tactically naive and that is ultimately the responsibility of the manager. We have some talented creative midfielders (probably the only good part of the team), but they've routinely been bypassed in games. We haven't controlled midfield or transitions in play to allow us to create patterns of play and shapes to help yield good goal-scoring chances. Look how easy MK Dons made it look tonight: they played through midfield and always had options in front of the ball.

Joeys tinkering, and silly selections and tactics (Tutonda centre back). Come on. Come on. Say you support his substitutions. 😆. Come on. Joey and his entourage just sulked the second half and didn’t offer the club or players anything. You support that? all those crucial six pointers 5 at back and 2 up? What is Barton Ball? Tell me the DNA of Barton ball.

Constantly outmanned in midfield means Platini is pressed and can’t play a pass. Constantly outgunned in midfield means Graham Souness runs around chasing shadows. That, we know for fact after all the games he has managed, is Barton Ball, no matter what players at his disposal. BARTON OUT. NOW.

Only differential you need right there. they achieved that simply by doing sane things, that didn’t baffle everybody as to what the idea is.

Penalty...and its saved....listening to that match on the radio was hard work. Try watching it then! I've had better trips to the dentist.

No amount of coaching or organization can hide the fact that they are just not good enough. It really is as simple as that. No matter how much you try, you can't polish a turd.

I hope Joey Barton has the whip hand to rebuild in the Summer.
WAQ must back the Manager.

My concern is that Joey is making is worse. He's been leaning on the advertising signs for some time sulking and his entourage clingons are not giving directions either - pathetic. Yep. I noticed that. Not impressed at all with the body language.
I felt most sorry for the GasCast boys. They deserve a medal for getting through that commentary. A dire, depressing game of football.
Our season has ended and we go out with a whimper.

Said I would judge Barton on his time and performance at Rovers. Nothing to show me he is a worthwhile coach/manager with performances on or off the pitch.
If he is here next season then am expecting us to go through the season unbeaten given the way he has spoken, any less is failure of him.
If here next season will be last hence saloon for him as a manager, can’t see anyone else taking him.

Keith Brookman has just summed it up well on Radio Bristol - perhaps we expected too much from too many young players this season. Who signed the players? BG. Who signed him..? Exactly.

I hope Joey Barton has the whip hand to rebuild in the Summer. WAQ must back the Manager. Why? What’s he ever done in the past made him a great team builder. One previous attempt, rubbish at Fleetwood. Look at them now. So please explain exactly why you are so convinced. The team he constructed is still notorious for its gamesmanship. Explain why you want us to be notorious for that? And you think he has managed run in well, in selections, plans, game management, substitutions?

JB has a way of managing, football opinions,he deserves to have a chance with his signings etc. Rovers need some stability and a leader to follow. TW must go. I think JB can get us back in the 3rd tier, but he needs to have the whip hand.
