can't wait for the next issue of "we're not a bad team" .... if we had scored 4 we would have given Burnley a good game More like "if Gray had signed we would be 1-3 up"

Wasn't there today due to being broke af but I'm absolutely "buzzing" as the kids say. What an attendance as well, DC is galvanising the club (even though his line-ups seem weird sometimes) and Gaffney sounds like the second striker we've been needing.
Off-topic wtf has happened to Chris Lines? If there's been an injury/bust up I've missed it.

Too many changes for the second game running, in my opinion. You were wrong. The manager has built a flexible squad

Too many changes for the second game running, in my opinion. Interesting that all the sheeds on the radio tonight were saying that SC wasn't making enough changes to cover the number of games in a short period. So I guess it's damned if you do, and damned if you don't. But given 4 points out of 6 I can guess who is getting it more right than wrong.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon today, a near full house an old fashioned direct centre forward and a team finding enough to beat the pre season favourites.
Good to see Mildy produce a steady pair of hands and barring the back four switching off for their goal in a split second it was a good team performance.
The spirit to dig deep was evident and while people will rightly look to two quality finishes from Gafney he also made a 35ish yard run back to defend a ball he lost further up field.
DC has created such an excellent team spirit that easily equals the perceived gap in quality between the two teams, memories of the never give up Francis days at Twerton kept coming back.

Off-topic wtf has happened to Chris Lines? If there's been an injury/bust up I've missed it. Linesy did his groin 4 to 5 weeks or so ago, sadly for him and us, he hasn't been missed. Gaffney could be key to us finishing our season well the way he has taken to playing with us and for us. He seems to have struck up a really good partnership with Taylor although he did equally well with Easter today, he seems to possess the quality and skill that we lost when Ryan Brunt got injured. He holds the ball up well, he lays off the ball well, he wins balls in the air and directs towards our players, he has pace, he has a good 'engine', he tracks back in defence and just to add the icing on the cake he's now started scoring goals as well. If we have any money anywhere, we need to buy him, maybe Cambridge United will be just pleased to get him off their payroll. Apparently Darrell will be speaking to Cambridge this week to ask if they can extend his loan. His signing could be as crucial to us as signing Lambert was.

Even if Orient had equalised, I would have come away saying that I thoroughly enjoyed that game. Good goals, good football both passing and running with the ball, high tempo and a physical challenge. Had the lot at this level.

from the Orient forum.....
No complaints about the result, the better team won, simple as that.
But even so, two gift-wrapped goals from yet more shambolic defending was yet again Orient's downfall.
Apart from Rory Gaffney, Connor Essam was Bristol Rovers' best player today, two assists.
Orient had pretty much nothing all afternoon apart from a goal right at the end of the first half when the Rovers defence fell asleep for the one and only time in the game.
For all Orient's possession in the final 20 minutes, an equaliser never looked on and Rovers were reasonably comfortable.
