Not sure what you mean by "the pro-Barton vitriol being thrown around"? I think you do. On the OF where you have generously defended the rights of a poster to post without being bullied by those who disagree with their views, including you. I wish others would take note, especially one mod in particular. Ah, right, got it now!

It starting to look very difficult, now. 13 points adrift, we really need to start going through the gears , if for no other reason but to rule out any relegation worries However, it now seems to much to make up, and we have been joined by. ‘Big Hitters’ Charlton and Portsmouth who are in the same boat. I do worry that the nucleus of the squad is to reliant on loan players, so that will need to be addressed at the end of the season. The likes of Brentford and Brighton and now Wrexham show what can be achieved with the right infrastructure and investment. So yet another season drifts by, another year older and still absolutely no real belief of a secure and successful future any time soon! The standard reply i get, from the same group, is that everyone else does iot so it must be fine. I have never believed in the wisdom of the crowd but in doing what is right. This was entirely predictable and avoidable plus allowing a manager to have such autonomy was/is absolute folly. If Wael wants out and i more tham believe this to be the case, then maybe , rather than avoid the games, get someone in that is more stable and has a better track record. The faint recording of Barton, threatening Lincoln players, yesterday, shows me he has not changed and will blow if things do not change and quickly. I will continue to say it was a diabolically poor decision and i do not believe we should be copying others, just because they do it, they too will have their own crises to deal with

I'm sorry, but Barton is now in excluisve company as one of the worst managers that we have ever had ! Loft, who couldn't say boo to a goose got sent off today. We have a convicted criminal as a manager who can't run his own life properly yet alone 34 other scousers ! Don't you think that referee's recognise that this vile disliked individual has betrayed the game that even they love and we have to put up with every week ! Farewell Joey and take those scouser lodgers you are sharing a house with in St Pauls/ Easton with you ! 4 losses on the bounce league games son, your time is up ! Wae has placed him in control and will not let him go, the only thing that’s could happen is Barton walks. He is looking every bit the same manager who looked on with contempt, as the team got relegated with a record number of points between us and the next team. As i said, all predictable and all we can hope for is a buyer to take us on, who has a genuine desire to push us on, a la Wrexham

Just watched the highlights it was never a red card and Ellery made a few very good saves. Last week i was absolutely seething after the game and it took me 4/5 days for my foul mood to lift. It does look from those brief highlights and several soundbites a vastly improved performance we have the potential to kick on, but it’s an awful lot of points to make up - Ipswich is a must win. UTG Don’t hold you breath as we now have more unavailable.

If you look at the incident you’ll notice that as his elbow reaches the bloke he gives it a little jab. I could need to go to Specsavers though. Certainly did. Really surprised how many want to see what they want to see, if it happened to our GK we would be going nuts. If was very stupid and showed the levels of frustration in the team

We did'nt shine, but this was an improvement.Alot of effort. We actually went close to scoring a couple of times. I did'nt see the Lofty GK incident, but I hope the appeal means our striker won't be suspended.Whatever actually happened, the Imps GK looked decent at his job. Ellery had a good game, making a couple of fine saves. Was it Luke McCormick that lost his man at the back post for the goal? Bogarde looks very good to me and I hope he starts Tuesday. Grant Ward gets a 7/10.👍 We went close to getting a point , got "null" ,but my point, we are improving. Rovers are going through a transitional period. It's interesting and perhaps frustrating in equal measure ,but I think Joe is doing a great job and there's an excellent team there to be 'discovered'. Apparently some of my Gashead brethren thought Lincoln a "s**thole" and it made them want "to go home".I did'nt have time to visit, but from a distance Lincoln Cathedral looked absolutely magnificent. I did however, have time to purchase a dozen Lincoln Sausages from a "high class butchers ".I mean you might think it the best place in the world to buy them. Very much looking forward to some bangers being served up Tuesday night! I used to have monthly sales meetings there and the cathedral is a magical and spiritual place, as with Wells, it had me in awe and i would visit it, each month and sit in awe and with a feeling of beautiful and comforting silence, thinking how the hell could they make such delicate beauty back in those days and without intricate tools and heavy load bearing scaffold and cranes. I highly recommend a visit, it’s an incredibly awe inspiring place

You seem to have a bit of a downer on Scousers - did somebody nick your hub caps? The only major UK city that the Krays never touched. Always been a very tough place that has it’s own, unique ways, love them or hate them, i have no hatred towards them and have never had any problems with guys from the area, in fact they have been good fun and generous to a T

Fair play fella, you really are the epitome of our anthem, faithful and true. I let frustration and past statements of intent get to me. I doff my proverbial Cap to you sir.

I'm not actually saying it per se, but others have now drawn attention to it and I just think it may not be a coincidence. This is one of the reasons why I thought it a bad idea appointing him our manager in the first place, but I guess we're all in it for the long haul now, come rain or shine, and it's starting to p*ss down! His reputation goes before him and refs do seem more alert than they normally are at this level imo. But he's brought that on himself really with his constant harassment of them. Not so much from the sideline these days, but he never fails to have a go at them in his post-match interviews. It's become the narrative and fans have latched onto that with their hard done by "whingeing" all over social media. I don't like the change in club culture (for want of a better word) that's taking place and find it increasingly difficult to identify with it. Last week I turned iFollow off at halftime and didn't bother with the second half. Now their mod or ITB here, feeling it’s fine to call people p r1 cks, i think the lad is not thinking straight if he believes this to be acceptable behaviour and then goes on to rationalise this, how i wish people would not quote him as the block works unless he is quoted. It’s madness over there. Personal attacks now being the norm if they allow this

The demeanor I was alluding to last night... Over the past few games, when Rovers media post the 'Clocking in for today's shift' photos on Instagram and Facebook, I've found myself saying: "Cheer up lads! Come on, give us a smile!". It's as if the coach driver has been in sole control of the CD player, and he's a big fan of shouty, droney, death-metal music, or Margarita Pracatan, or some other luctual tunes. Same happened yesterday. By coincidence, the word yesterday in my "A Word A Day" book was 'Lugubrious'. Was going to say great word but now have to say both great words, i love language and use of words, rarely used

Funny old game innit.
Rovers fans moaning about decisions that went against us yesterday.
Go to the Imps forum and (between the posts saying what a **ick Barton is) they are moaning that the ref didn't send a 2nd Rovers player off, for pulling back one of theirs who would have been through on goal, and that the ref ignored the linesman's flag, and what they thought was a clear offside, which could have resulted in us equalising.

Shame luctual is gone, as it goes further and is more elegant. As an adjective meaning something that was mournful or provoked mournful emotions.

Always had a fascination for big words and then the song big time by Peter Gabriel came out and it was like he was articulating my own feelings. I get a real buzz from being around people who have that language but naturally, i had to learn them and find ways to use them. It can be taken as pretentious by some but it’s just something i really enjoy

The Lincoln sausages I bought from a local "high class butchers" were, I'm happy to report, delectably scrumptious. Yummy!
