We need Evans back and Nicholson matchfit or we could lose momentum. Collins plays a lot better with Evans in the side, and we can’t expect Coutes and the Anderssons do it for us every week.

The award for thread title of the year goes to CPB. Nice one!
If we can win today, then third place behind FGR and Port Vale will be on. Incoming Exeter wobble.

DC seems to have won the wily manager contest with Clough. They've both been there and done it before and I reckon DC will get one of the auto spots. Mansfield are not the sort of team you want in the playoffs. A win today will cement our position for the automatic spots.

FGR, Northampton, Port Vale and Mansfield all have pretty much banked wins. Whoever loses out of Swindon and Newport are probably out of the picture, and Exeter have a tough trip to Carlisle.
A win today would really cement a top 7 spot for us, and probably give us some breathing space as well, esp. with Vale and FGR on the horizon. Even a draw won’t be that harmful to the play off picture.

Tranmere now have T Davies out on top of there 2 reds and can't put out a full bench. Won't have a better chance to beat them.

Newport and Salford have a good day. Swindon lose ground.

Sounds like we dominated the game without creating too many chances.... again.
I would have taken a point before the game so a draw is not a disaster.

Sadly you don't get any extra points for dominating the game, so its irrelevant. No point playing possession football if you have no end product. You get points for putting the ball in the back of the net more often than your opponent. The results against the top teams are simply not good enough, which doesn't bode well for the play offs, presuming the team makes them.
