A thoroughly entertaining game with, much to some people’s disappointment, no punches thrown.J B wore a blue baseball cap, along with several hundred other people. Not one silly, pretentious hat ala Tisdale was spotted. J B waved to the crowd on a number of occasions, but not once was anything remotely resembling a Nazi salute seen. All in all an enjoyable afternoon; the only player booked was from Exeter, and one poster on this forum was made to look extremely foolish. UTG You and your Tisdale. You can’t have been on here long or you’d have known that I never thought Tisdale was a good fit and I was in the Garner should have been given more time camp because it was his team and he would have kept us up. Wael screwed up big time last season with one desperate decision after the other - the worst being handing the reigns to a convicted thug with a history of violence who took us down. You and your Barton. My Days.

Exeter manager says Rovers were outstanding in the presure we put them under. Exeter players say the atmosphere was excellent and it was a good game Exeter manager says it was a good game between two good teams. I agree with all the above, a good day. Obviously, if JB had said the above some people would spit their dummy out their pram. Some people would have said that Barton onviously threatened to kick the sh1t out of all those Exeter people if they didn't say exactly that.

Tisdale's record as a manager is considerably more impressive than Barton's - there's a reason that he was often linked with that lot across the river whenever a vacancy came up. I was surprised when he was fired, as I think he at least deserved the opportunity to rebuild in L2, a level at which he had enjoyed considerable success. Tisdale also has a class, style and integrity that Barton will never possess. Holding the thoughts of s**theads up as a reason to say Tisdales a good manager? Oh my!

Cracking match between two in ‘form teams’ just shows how much the Gas have improved since being ‘mullered’ twice earlier in the season.
The ‘fan buzz’ ’ gets louder every game.
If Gas had won the ‘toss up’ in such a tight match and played towards the Thatchers in the second half, I pretty sure we would have ‘nicked it’
‘Roll Out the Barrow’ on Tuesday for another three points I thank you, UTG!

I think you have hit the nail on the head there. Whilst the atmosphere was not anywhere near the best we have all experienced at the Mem, there is a sense of it "building". Having watched all the home league games this season, the change in both the on field success and the number and noise of the crowd is distinctive. There is a buzz around the ground and it will only get louder as the season progresses.

Went, saw a boring game that the Grecian should have won, atmosphere was poor, given the size of crowd and Beloshaw was MOTM for me, not impressed, not one bit. Saw KS and said Hi. Dull game You having a laugh, take off your Barton hate glasses and you will see it very differently UTG

Dull game The actual game was quite literally none of the above. It was two form teams cancelling out each other. A win on Tuesday and a similar result at Newport then it’s very much game on. Only downside of the day for me was trying to get a pint on Glos Road afterwards, the place was chock a block with students watching the peanut hugging.

What do you make of Lofty?
I think he makes a nuisance of himself and to that extent is effective.
Is that enough?
I wish I could see a player that has a good chance of scoring from a header.I don't.
Is he a big help to Aaron Collins? I've not really seen it yet,but maybe I should 'open my eyes' as it were.Of course Aaron came off yesterday anyway.
A tough ask for anyone coming on in a game like yesterday and Lofty deserves time.
He gives Joe options and maybe he will get a longer run out against Barrow.
I don't want to be unfair ,but a while ago (before January window) I wondered if big Nick Anderton could of been a temporary target man for us and i wonder if Nick could of done any better than Lofty yesterday?
I'm not saying Nick should move from defender to striker, but I think Lofty has to improve, especially his heading.

Not a fan of a change of player results in a few players changing position. The change for Finley resulted in Evans, Billy and Collins changing positions. Did not see a change in formation. In the 4 2 3 1, if Loft or Clarke play then we have Evans, Billy and Collins best suited to the middle of the three. I assume this is Nolan's position or is he the natural replacement for Finley?

I’ve got to admit I have been disappointed with what I’ve seen of Loft so far, but Barton must know there’s more to come as he wanted him at the club & the players he brought in lately, weather permanent or loan have been pretty decent. In defence of Loft he scored goals in a poor Scunthorpe side, so in time I’am sure he will he will do the same with us. As for Nick Anderson at the start of the season I thought what a poor player he was, but yesterday I was hoping he was back in the team as he’s been excellent recently & defensively we look better when he’s there, so given time hopefully I will be saying the same about Loft in the future.

There were chances but not many that troubled both GK’s. We seemed to bypass midfield a lot of the time. You really are barking up the wrong tree with this

Even Brazil don’t play like Brazil every game lol Point taken but after what i had been reading, i had hoped we were playing a more attacking game. There were several times when players had plenty of time and space to run with the ball but didn’t do so. It does seems that in most of the games, where we have had bigger crowds, we flatter to deceive

You really ought to learn when to stop digging. you've totally blown any credibility you ever had by firmly nailing your colours to the “No Rovers till Barton’s gone” mast, then, when we started to get a bit of a run going you come on here asking for tickets as if nothing had ever been said. You're a complete Charlatan and nobody will ever believe another word you say.

Always think atmosphere is a 2 way thing with events on the pitch needed to spark it & after the goals the 2 sides basically cancelled each other out & went a bit flat. The thing that pleased me most yesterday was to see the fanzone area thriving & so many young supporters at the match, weather that’s the good fill factor coming back to the club or the magnificent work the community department does, it’s great to see.
