I hope you are right Bas as i never wish for my team to lose. IF we do manage to get into them play off berths then i hope we have our defence sorted by then, there is nothing like playing in a winning side and, if you have ever played any team sport then you cannot wait to play again. Let’s hope this is not the rovers of old, who let forward momentum slip. It will make for some problems with contracts next season as i am sure our results have alerted scouts. Will Wael open his wallet and keep our best players, if they want to stay ? We have loans to deal with too. Anyway, another win and another 3 points, win our game in hand on Swindon and we are one point behind them Get down the Mem and reassure yourself KP.👍 Not at all missing that part if honest and i have also noticed the money saved. It’s not a small amount, i put 50 quid into a separate account on each game i would have attended, 50 is a minimum amount btw. It’s normally more like 50-70 if true to myself. I quite like seeing that money growing and knowing my weekend mood wont be dictated by a result. I have become closer to the Mrs too and she never ever complained or said anything, it just happened. Maybe, just maybe its time to allow the younger fans to do their bit and me go, when i feel like it. I note Salford are doing the same as us and both are climbing the table, maybe, come end of season, the betting companies will be proved right

Win the game in hand and the gap goes down to 2 points.
Our form since the turn of the year has been generally very good.
Sounded as if Lofty did okay coming on today.
Our gd is plus 3.
We just outclassed Stevenage. We dismantled Sutton. Not conceded a goal in over 270 minutes.
Squad looks excellent, including 2 good GKs.
Joe doing a brilliant job.

Coutts came off today for Whelan, probably to rest Coutts for Orient,as well as a run out for Whelan. Winning is nice.

As you say, not a cheap day out, even at The Mem.

Match Report from the BBC
Bristol Rovers continued their push for the League Two play-offs as they made it back-to-back wins with an emphatic victory at struggling Stevenage.
Sam Finley, Elliot Anderson, Harry Anderson and Aaron Collins all registered for Joey Barton's dominant visitors at a sodden Lamex Stadium.
Rovers are now five points from the play-off places in 11th place with games in hand on many of the teams above them, while Stevenage sit 19th after five winless games.
The visitors took early control, with Christy Pym twice denying Collins, while Finley then launched a one-man counter-attack from his own half but was denied by the Stevenage goalkeeper.
However, from the resulting corner, Finley gathered the clearance and curled a stunning effort into the top corner to put Rovers ahead.
Victory was sealed after the break when Sam Nicholson's inventive backheel allowed on-loan Newcastle midfielder Elliot Anderson to fire into the bottom corner for his first Rovers goal.
Scorer then turned creator as the visitors made it 3-0 four minutes later, the 19-year-old midfielder's cross poked home by Harry Anderson at the far post.
Elliot Anderson was also involved in the fourth, as Pym tipped his ambitious effort onto the bar before Collins converted the rebound.
Pym made a string of sensational saves in defeat, but Stevenage now sit just five points above the drop zone.

Another great 90 mins, Finlay picked up a yellow and the commentator said he will miss the next two games. Hopefully Eavens will be back. Really like this lad from Newcastle, creative and a goal threat. Trying not to get to carried away but right now we're flying. UTG

Think he could turn out to be one of our best loan signings for a long time.

I think anyone knocking JB now is just being stupid. Ok we haven't done anything yet but he has created one of, if not the best squad in this league and turned our club around in a year.He was correct in what he said about the squad from last year and how bad they were. He has now been given time to build his squad and the proof is now in the pudding.
I can see that JB is not a false person, and almost everything he says about our club I agree with. He gets our club and fanbase, and is fast becoming one of my favorite managers in my 30 following us. I can't think of anything he has done here to deserve the hate he has gotten. The only mark against him for me is the upcoming case against his wife.
From a footballing point of view we are lucky to have him and he has something DC like about him in regards to our club.
Keep up the great work JB.

This won't be the last team we dick this season. Dreamland stuff. UTFG Apparently "outclassed" em Grant! Steve, we're outclassing teams on a regular basis now. If it's going to work ( 1 defeat in 10, no goals conceded in 3), now's the time. 2007 all over. UTFG

The team was progressing, then a very good January Sales (not forgetting your shirt 👍) to improve things again. JB ,built a solid foundation , turned a rudderless ship around and now it's full steam ahead! Yep UTFG!

I know you can "only beat what's put in front of you", but we are doing that regularly now. Great eh? 👍⚽️🏴☠️

From the moment I realised JB was serious about sorting out the off field stuff and WAQ was clever enough to allow Joe to do just that - therefore build a team for a team game - ,then give him time to get the on field sorted - all Joe needed was time - I became a believer. It's abit odd,but because of how the Rovers are run now,it's one of the best seasons I can remember. I'm tempted to say the best! Loving this JB era.
