We need a defence coach (if we've got one he needs to go and join Cummings) - Cocko's free. But do we actually have a defence coach?

As said on commentary they are too streetwise

The scoreline flattered Fleetwood. Fleetwood the better team on the day, but not three goals better.
A learning experience for this young Gas team I think.

Typical street-wise Fleetwood. Sadly they are the better side. Heads dropped after the third goal - poor defending. Ehmer not tight enough on him? 4th goal - p*ss poor 'defending' to give away the penalty.

The ref is giving NOTHNG for Hanlon. But on balance, the best team won. Again.

Fleetwood are handy.
I expect us to beat enough teams to stay up,with progression visible.Experience gained etc.
This team must be able to give teams like Fleetwood at least a game.Did'nt even manage that today.
BG will be under pressure again and all things considered he probably deserves it.
Patience a must, but so is progression.

Baldwin. Not impressed. I'd drop him for Kilgour and move Ehmer to centre CB. Keeper not good enough. Wind & rain... don't care. It was pretty much straight at him. He made me swear.

Oh dear..
It was men against boys.... quite literally.
Well I take no pride in saying this but we have got what we deserved. Poor in all areas, but we made Fleetwood look good because we failed to do the basics right.
As much as I feel let down by the players, again the manager is looking at the match slipping away and makes like for like changes, too late. Why is it we are 2-0 down before a change is made, or a few minutes either side of 70 minute mark? Games are fluid. We needed earlier thought pro active thought process because it's no coincidence we conceded when Fleetwood were on top. The manager should accept some responsibility for this.
Starting one recognised striker up front in this division, again? We got what we deserved, nothing....we set ourselves up to struggle, and our poor individual defensive errors capped a woeful day for is. So frustrating.
But not surprised.
All this give it time is all very good and well, but surely you learn by your mistakes don't you? Starting one striker up front v a team in play offs a couple of months ago and having decent names in their squad is learning NOTHING.
What we have is technically decent players that the majority have had development experience....when we come across teams that have a top heavy balance of wiley 3rd/4th division physical experience. There's only going to be one winner, especially with the stubbornness of a BG style coach that is in complete denial of their surroundings and blame the ref/conditions/journey.
Absolutely woeful. And frustrating.
But hey, give it more time..

I do like that incidental / commercial break music on i-Follow. Very poppy.

The Game first, then we'll adjourn to the sacking thread.
Awful, a squad who are too content (is the word) with losing and are not angry enough to stop it. Our last 3 home league games have been against Hull, Peterborough and Fleetwood. They all s**t the same colour as us and yet we decided they would beat us.
All of this mentality is down to the manager who has been content with losing from day one and has the wrong mentality to be a manager at this level.
Their 2 goals were inevitable, I don't know why they didn't stick the ball in the mix of our goalkeeper sooner, our defending was horrific for the 2nd goal, defenders or team who have no confidence in our 2nd keeper who is poor for L1, not good enough. They shoot they score, made a couple of saves at 2-0, too late by then.
I don't blame a single player for today otherwise. It is all about not having strength in depth between the sticks which comes down to the management, why wasn't Daly playing. Hanlan/Daly worked. Nicholson and Oztumer can play together, might have to drop McCormick to accommodate them.
Fleetwood were ok but not that good, Peterborough were far more dangerous. They were there for the taking I feel, we played well 2nd half, too late, you teach kids to stop the shot, how many goals have we conceded from the edge of the box this season by not closing down. We were in it for a point and would have deserved it but we should be winning at home, the first half was horrific.
We did not impose ourselves on the game until it was too late. Koiki needs games but Tutonda is currently the better option for me. Great goal for us, love Nicholson, he's brilliant.
I don't get the starting 11, we had a week off and don't play in the league for another week, why change what was working and break up the front 2.
I don't bemoan JBF the points as we let them have them. We have to believe we are allowed to win these games and I really think BG didn't have the belief that we can do it. When we beat Lincoln I thought we'd turned a corner and laid that ghost to rest, but the scars from last season were still there.
We're not actually on that bad a run overall, especially away, but home form is 4 defeats out of 6 and the last 3 defeats. Nowhere near good enough.
Evans was offside for the pen as well. Commentary was annoying on the radio. Not Keith. Calling Oztumer diminutive too many times and describing the weather and Dundry more than the football in a game with 5 goals. They have a different view to IFollow, it looked like a foul, we would still be there all night though, it was 3-1 at the time and too late.
Grant played ok but needs to wear different boots, I counted 4 slips on the ball at crucial moments.
We didn't pass the ball, usually for us, got what we deserved as 02 said.
We will go to the drawing room now for whisky, cigars and the other thread. Shall we go on through ?...

Last time we scored 4 was the Southend home game when we were 0-2 down at half time. A damning stat. Southend game was weird. The worst team in the division absolutely ripped us apart 1st half. Say what you like about GC, he must have had some 'strong words' at half time...
