Pity us gasheads cannot give DC a warm welcome back tonight as he brings his Saddlers side to the Mem for this EFL trophy tie.
BG has hinted a few changes from Saturday to give players minutes and match fitness for the long trip to Sunderland on Saturday.
Hoping for a home win and a goal for Jonah Ayunga to open his account.

Everyone with the definitive manual of supporting a crap football team - www.amazon.co.uk/How-Support-Crap-Football-Team/dp/0860255425/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=How+to+support+a+crap+football+team&qid=1599580091&sr=8-1 knows that sherpyvanwindscrenwiperpaintpot nights don’t count in the bigger picture. Whatever result or performance we achieve tonight is meaningless, potential for fools gold, hindrance more than blessing on road to recovery, it is only on Saturday we can measure actual improvement from last seasons abysmal form, that carried over into last Saturday. However the green shoots we are looking out for as measuring stick of any improvement - Getting into pockets of space. Receiving the ball in pockets of space. Receiving the ball in pockets of space whilst facing their goal, not ours. Hold possession long enough to transition to attack. Win possession count. Win territory count. Crosses into the box. (Admittedly none of these are conclusive if you don’t do much with it, however they more likely point to a good performance, especially if your tactic for match isn’t long ball or counter attack, your aim is possession football and high press) Scrapping for the cleanie. (I don’t think the gk and 3 df had that bad a game last weekend, though beaten at near post is always a question for the goalie. We conceded three because the whole team needs to contribute to a clean sheet, so cut out the following T- passing to an opponent, W- putting your team mate under pressure with a pass, particularly backwards pass, A- losing possession by being brushed off it too easily, T- allowing yourself to get skinned too easily if any of this leads to a goal, that player is responsible, not necessarily defence and goalkeeper. So another measurement is less twating about out there)

Am I going mad or does the commentator keep confusing Baldwin and Harries? It looks to me like Harries is in the middle at the back and Baldwin in midfield, but he's got them the other way round.

Lets just call it fluid. Baldwin and Harries do look alike to be fair..

DC will be annoyed, his strategy of losing cup games has failed.
