Here's the thing....BG turns our jewel in the crown defence (up until December) bearing in mind we had lost Lockyer and James Clarke.... also Little, THD and Hare in the season starting - to a confused, dysfunctional outfit that looks sorry for itself every match I've seen. And then says in post match interviews: it isn't good enough. So I'm forced to ask: -If it wasn't broken, why fix it? -It's his choice of personnel tactics strategy formation etc, so who's failure would that be? -At Christmas we had too many games (same as everyone else, except Bury) and BG bemoaned no time for training, what now is the excuse? -We've tried 4-3-3 for a pastime over DC GC and BG....it hasn't worked. It isn't working. What supposes to say it will work? Apart from time, 🥱 give more time (remember that point in Nichols-gate?), no wins in 13 is unacceptable as a manager. If it is, how many more non win matches do we have to endure before it DOES become unacceptable? yes. Let’s not forget it was Cocko who walked, quite suddenly, plunging club and any incoming manager into the situation. IMO the club and new manager appear to have responded quite well, starting pre season now with eye on where they want to be in 12 or 18 months, particularly in terms of the squad and type of football. In that sense it’s far too early to judge, I’d give BG till last match in November and then sum up 11 months of his work. who do you know playing 4 4 2 and direct football these days? If you think of some of the greatest sides of the modern era, tikitaka with Barca as example, they weren’t about defence getting something and clinging to it, but the ability to hit 2 and 3 consistently to take games away from opponents. A high press. Play and possession in opponents half. It’s that model, notthe dour mourinho one, being so widely copied. Hence Jose is yesterday’s man. not blaming Cocko for the family work balance thing, only I don’t think it was the clubs choice to sack him at that moment in time to take this direction, amongst a list we could blame them them for, writing off this season to begin pre season in January, that’s not one of them. It leaves just one school of thought to decide. Could we not have got a Cocko to replace Cocko carried on with the game plan to see where it could take us this season. The answer to that is not a yes or no, simply if that’s what you would have preferred then good luck to you, if you prefer this direction then good luck too. I think that pretty much sums it up? Pretty sure an Holloway type manager could have kept GC's good running going, and got us playing better football, now we have gone back to a DC type manager, one who has got us playing better football but totally unable to keep a clean sheet. We even let Bolton score against us!

He's here for the time being. So get used to it and stop whining. I'll never get used to Rovers losing week after week. You seem to be the sort who stood and applauded losers like McGhee and Buckle, I'll leave you to it, I want better for Rovers. It’s this mentality that used to clap off Tom Nicholls. The four goals in nearly 100 appearances striker Tom Nicholls.
