Fabulous, fabulous performance everyone. Despite the early set back we came back very strongly, played some great football and the 2nd half just got better and better. I'm almost tempted to describe Lockyer as world class, with one of his defensive blocks that despite being within the 6 yard box and the ball with a County forward, the way Tom stood up didn't commit himself and saw off the block was truly magnificent. James Clarke again showed up well in defence and after one decisive tackle in the 2nd half in our half from which we won a goal kick not only did it receive thunderous applause from us but saw 3 or 4 of our players run out to congratulate him on the tackle. A real gritty team performance with not everyone performing at their best but my goodness what an important win. 5 on the bounce now with Cambridge next up, can we get automatic promotion, I really don't know but if we keep playing the way are we are going to be well in the mix. It was quite funny chatting to some young lads behind me explaining who I was and where I was from because my England flag has Cwmbran Gas across the middle, the club badge in the top left hand corner and a copy of the Welsh flag in the bottom right hand corner, they thought I was Welsh bless them and couldn't take the piss out of the home crowd with me sat in front of them. I quickly explained I originated from Lockleaze and was more English than the Queen and they could sing away to their hearts content. Mrs Saxe-Coteburg-Gotta, or is it Mrs Mountbatten isn't that English.

That's 5 straight wins since Mr Hamers letter arrived. I texted similar to RadBris with the comment 'out with the Jonahs, in with the Wael', but they didn't read it out

What a scoreline to wake up to! My 2-1 prediction was a little off the mark but delighted it was! I think in years to come Gasheads may look back at this time in Rovers history as the watershed moment or maybe refer to it as the "Rovers Spring". The potential many Gasheads often talked about is beginning to blossom! COYB!!

Sounds like he got another unnecessary booking just now though following the silly one last week. Hope he cuts that out of his game. Yes, he can be petulant and gets involved when really not necessary but sometimes you need to leave well alone or it can leave that type of player toothless. I know it's a huge difference, to use as an example but Wayne Rooney was superb when he played his first England tournament, in Portugal and when he calmed that anger out of him, he certainly never looked the same since. I'll jjst be very happy with this result right now though. Really very happy with the team and how we are coming into great form just at the right time. Seems we really do have a manager who has saved some decent players for the money games. Well played DC Could leave us toothless if he is unable to play when we need him because of the yellow count

Football manager gives honest post-match interview.
Great to see him enjoying himself, too many people in his position take themselves far too seriously.

What a difference a season makes... Well, two seasons. Since 2000, up to 2014 the only time we were in a promotion mix was the last three weeks of 2007/08 (and maybe few a silly weeks early in one of the league 1 seasons). Then there was last year (slow start, slow build), now this. Weird. Talk about feast after the famine.

Whilst other fans/clubs/teams may look on this a regulation win before the fixture started, any rovers fan truly knows winning in south wales just isn't that easy.
What a comprehensive win and result.
Credit to management and players for the prep and execution of a brilliant result. (I'm not gonna get petty with the mirror hone match where we were let down by goalkeeping joke of a clown....yep, the right way round, but justice!)
Can Tom Locks get any better? He's simply, amazing.
We've sent the division five salvos of warnings....we're the Bristol Rovers army, and we're on the march..
Brilliant DC, thankyou for making us start to believe..

Didn't see the game but my mate who is a Newport fan texted to say, and I quote, that we were brilliant.
Some real momentum building here.
