just as we are waiting for the shhheeeeeeeeed to come in and poop poop..... well not tonight top stuff Rovers.. a good sign of resilience against a team in their stride and would say one of the fav's for auto promo', but no more than we deserved after getting mugged by them at the mem
Bristol Rovers came from behind to win at fellow promotion-chasers Oxford through Ellis Harrison's late penalty. Kemar Roofe pounced from a corner to put Oxford ahead just after the break with his 18th goal of the season. But the lead was short-lived as Matty Taylor headed in an equaliser from Daniel Leadbitter's searching cross. As the game looked set for a draw, Jermaine Easter broke through the Oxford defence and Sam Slocombe brought him down to concede the penalty.

Yessssssss!!!!!!! 2-1! Gas!!!!!!!!!! Once again, DC makes the decisions and calls it right. I was one of his biggest critics and I am more than happy enough to be proved wrong and I love this team and their never say die attitude. I doubt very much if DC gives a crap what I think anyway but we now play to the whistle and I know it's a big, huge, comparison to make but this side reminds me of the once great Liverpool side, they never were down and out, not until the final whistle. Safe journey home to all gas. What a great result and this is becoming more interesting as it goes. I am really starting to believe we may even get one of the automatic spots. should I lower my expectations ? Lol

To come from a goal down, away from home, versus 3rd in the league - what a performance.
I don't care if it was 'ugly'; I don't care if Oxford had the better of it or if it was "Smash and Grab" - to win like that is really important.
Well done to DC and the boys, a great start to a very, very difficult set of games.

My only concern is that, with the exception of Plymouth, we have played more games (5 in the case of Accrington) than all the teams around us. Just have to wait and see how that plays out.

I remember the late and great Bill Shankley, in a BBC interview, saying he would rather have the points than the games in hand. I don't profess to be any kind of tactician or reader of the game but he was and I think he was and is right. I had not seen the tables until last night and it's only Accy that have the big amount. I was shocked to see we were still 5th after yesterday's games

What was it Westcountry Gas said this week? 'I'd be delighted if Harrison left'.
Mate I'm so grateful you nobley stepped upto the 'forum clown' mantle since ZFC doesn't seem to post on here any more.
