We outplayed them and made them look like the conference team V an established and polished FL side. I hope Leadbitter is ok but it looked very bad to be frank. A fairly easy win and we could have scored a lot more. UTG.

Exactly. Because I tell the truth when the team don't play well or when Clarke gets things wrong I'm obviously nowhere near as good a fan as some people. Utter tosh as you well know. you only come alive when we lose or even draw. Very tiresome. Where is the praise from you lot? Nothing to do with the true fan bollocks. Its to do with praise when due as well as knocking Rovers when they don't. Which you always do the latter not former. Any thoughts on the win then? I wouldn't waste the energy responing directly to a moron who is only out to critisise the team and manager, based purely on hindsight after a defeat, waste of space who belongs at trashton.

Top performance all round today, can't believe how solid and positive the team looks compared to last year. Keep it up DC and the boys. UTG

Was a great game today, and I thought we played some great football. Intricate passing between midfield and into Easters feet, and then switching the play to the wing backs and really stretching Barnet. End product lacking on occasion but I don't think Barnet reverting to a Sunday mornings team for the last half hour helped. It made a really strange second half where there were acres in midfield once Barnet lost the big boot forward, and I think we didn't know what to do with it!
Should have been a cricket score and to see our progression over Barnet over the summer is a great credit to DC and the team, and 3-5-2 may just be the making of this group. Desperately hope Leadbitter is alright as he was looking one of our best players this season. Special credit to Ollie Clarke who seems to be excelling in his role in the 3 man midfield and could be overlooked for MOM awards etc. but seems as pivotal in this formation as the wingbacks.

I find happy clappers tiresome, but hey, it takes all sorts I guess. As stated at the end of last season, Clarke is still learning, we rode our luck to get promoted, but having achieved that he's entitled to a chance to show what he can do at this level with his own squad. Early days, but a very encouraging start. Barnet were absolute dog dirt today, but it wouldn't have mattered if they had played better as we chased them all over the pitch for 90 mins. Lockyer and Parkes were superb against big lumps who were just looking for a reason to throw themselves on the floor. Lines, you just can't give him that much space, he looked a class apart. Sinclair, unrecognisable from what we saw 2 weeks ago, largely because other players worked to find space and occupy Barnet's players so the game didn't get bogged down as it did against Northampton. He rightly got the Man of the match, but it was a team effort from front to back. Discipline was excellent, Barnet tried to prevoke and turn it into a war, the charge into the back of Elliss was quite deliberate and looked like an attempt to both slow him down and draw a reaction, but we just stuck to our task and came out worthy winners. Happy?

Lockyer kept Akinde quiet and defended very well my man of the match I thought Sinclair deserved his MOTM; he was everywhere today. But Lockyer was outstanding too, and it was nice to see Taylor get on the scoresheet. He works so hard for the side, and his goal was well deserved.

Everyone putting in 100%, and no little skill on display too. An absolute pleasure to be there; long may it continue. Fair shout but you have come on and praised this season as well as going over the top last season. Nothing wrong with opinions regarding games but the genuine poison aimed at DC from some will remain until they get their wish. Dont forget we will lose a few along the way, that is when these people will raise their ugly heads again. Anyway onto today. Another good performance to go with the Yeovil and Luton away wins, we are playing some really good football and scoring some good gaols along the way. What a strike from Brown

Tom Lockyer was the best player today, I thought he was excellent.
I thought Lines was least good. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but he seems like he's trying too hard to be exceptional and its not always needed at this level.

I honestly thought every player could deservedly take a pat on the back today, I came away delighted that we appear at this level to have a lot of quality throughout the side and that includes the bench, thought Bodin looked useful in the short time he was on. Only one slight concern, i have only seen the keeper for the first time today and not convinced he is going to make it but time will tell, maybe first home game nerves , maybe just maybe this is DC's way of giving a mildy a sharp kick up the ass.

I thought Chapman did just fine for his home debut, his clean sheet blemished only by what looked to me to be a lucky ricochet! I think he'll get better with every game he plays, and the odd dodgy goal kick won't bother us.
