SkySports news (I think) reported Rovers 7 red cards this season, next worst Club is 4 red cards in the top 4 tiers. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). It's almost like we are building a side in the managers image. A thuggish, nasty side. #notforme Well put. A side truly in the manager's image. We're looking for fights and then being knocked out cold. Emperor has said before: successful teams are not about "fight". It's the opposite. It's about displaying calm heads and clear thinking in the face of adversity. I had to like that post. Managers should send their teams out Composed, Organised, and Confident. It’s a contact sport, you get up and get yourself away from your opponent and back in position, you should be heavily fined if you tangle unnecessarily. How many red how many cards this season for completely unnecessary tangling. Barton’s performance last season hardly inspired. As Basel said, be fair to Barton access him after 12 games with his own team. Well Barton should have gone after the 1-3 loss to Swindle. |

Alan I just watched the highlights and the port vale players seem to congratulate each other after both red cards. Strange behaviour. Harries looked like a Sunday league player both for the second goal and for his red card. Absolute basic defending - track your runner, and don’t let the thing bounce. I don’t say this lightly but I don’t want to see him in the quarters again. I’ve taught 8 year olds to defend better than that I don't understand why Harries doesnt get more criticism, hes one of the worse pro players I've ever seen. Its staggering that he earns several thousand pound a week as a footballer, he probably cavy believe it either and is having a good laugh at his pay slips. Harries and Baldwin in the same back line was worthy of Keystone Cop’s status. |

Well done DC and your cheats,you contrived to get a Rovers player sent off which I class has Cheating,we fans paid good money to get in to watch the game in terrible weather,some people with families so god knows how much it cost them.
But after 15 minutes we get a player sent off and you can clearly see the stamp from the PV player On Finley and the PV player’s congratulate each other,PV then had a player advantage for 85 minutes and us fans cheated out of a fair game,yes Finley shouldn’t of reacted but both players should’ve been sent off.
What’s the game coming to,who want’s to go and watch premeditated action’s like that.
Time to give professional football a rest and watch parks football a honest and fair game where players pay to play and the love of the game.
With all what’s going on in the game football is slowly dying I’m afraid.

I see the Spotland boys lost by a late goal at the monkey hangars last night, let's hope it's knocked the stuffing out of them a bit, could do with a win now on Saturday.

If you listen carefully to DC's post match interview, right at the beginning he mentions "hard done by" - meaning Barton. He set his strategy accordingly because hard done by people are easy to wind up, and he got the three points while Barton and some of his favourites went home and stomped around in their bedrooms. |

It would be interesting to know, was it part of Sean Dyche’s game plan to cheat and get the non-league opponents’ dangerman sent off or did Barton take it upon himself as a leader on the field?
