Harrogate Town, the Sulphurites - Harrogate being a spa town - will most likely be a tough nut to crack.
Joe says we'll have just about the same players to select from as the Newport County game.
Fair play the 600 supporters travelling, great stuff.
Maybe a few Gasheads that live in the Yorkshire area will be there too.
A new game,a new challenge. Tough times at Rovers, but the balls there to be won.
Also as Joe said, the steady ship the Sulphurites run,a manager that's been in the job for years,a team on and off the field etc,is something Rovers can learn from. The recipe for success.
Radio Bristol comentary for me and I'm looking forward to it.
Come on Rovers.

I'm skipping it tmrw, im going to check our league position later and then after 5 tmrw check it out and if we have at least a point then I will look at the goals on quest later.
I find radio bristol commentary dire at best, quite annoying at times and even depressing and need a rest from that as well.
Shall find a cafe and continue my reading of "David Copperfield" which is just the most perfect novel.

The commentary on Radio Bristol - Keith usually- use to have a habit of saying eg ' Rovers appear very much in the driving seat and I can't see how 'opposition' are going to score'.Etc. 2 minutes later 'Well that came completely against the run of play and Rovers have got to do it all again (only better one would hope).😏 I saw the David Copperfield 'new' film a couple of years ago, enjoyed it.

This is our first encounter with Harrogate who are 5th and us in 18th, Luke Armstrong and Jack Muldoon are their top scorers with 14 goals and 5 assists between them.
Their manager is 43 year old Simon Weaver who has managed them in 585 games with a 41% win rate, with father Irving they have taken the team from the 6th tier to the football league in just 11 years.
They play at Wetherby Road which holds a capacity of 5000, Harrogate finished in 17th place in their first season in the football league.
The club is nicknamed "Town" and also the "Sulphurites", due to Harrogate's famous sulphur springs. The club's colours are black and yellow.
We will do well to come away with a point IMO.

I cant cope with the radio bristol commentary, I'm fed up with talking about it, but for the record:
1. The constant "to be honest with you" by Brookman, along with "the greatest of respect" two of the most annoying and pointless statements in the English language. To be honest with you that was a bad challenge, to be honest with you we deserve to be losing, just ******* say it man. Maybe I'm turning into a miserable git but it winds me up.
2. The inability to tell us where on the pitch the ******* ball is. It's radio, we can't see it, so wheres the ******* ball you *****! There was a game I had on earlier in the season when I didn't even know that the opposition were in our half, and then they scored just like that, like magic, a few short passes when they were around our box but bizarrely I thought they weren't in a danger area as nobody said where the important inflatable thing was.
3. 5 mins of listening to radio 5 and you will hear them give the ball position repeatedly, I don't understand why it's so difficult for them to state the ******* obvious.
That's it. I'm fine. I'm in bed watching Harry Potter on a Fri night with a furry elephant from Thailand and I'm absolutely fine.

Saw this car today!!!!!!! I suppose the cage could be for when he takes Barton out but I should think that he drives a soft top or maybe a covered wagon as he seems to like tarpaulins and canvas.

Bookies have it generally: Harrogate 10-11 Gas 3-1 Draw 5-2 Safe trip to all Gasheads heading up there. I'll be at Buckhurst Hill vs Haverhill Borough down in tier 10, no odds available. Nailed on home win though.

Nailed on home win though. Predictable from bookies, but that 3.1 is tasty I think, to bang a pony on. I have a good feeling about this one. Harrogate have injury issues and signs their form is dropping off. Meanwhile, earlier we were not building partnerships with 1 game in 1 game out for players, but consistency in selection should be helping with that. And all of a sudden every time we attack it feels like we will score, now Evans has match fitness, Nicholson and Thomas building fitness, and we possess the best striker in this division. A win or a draw wouldn’t surprise me today.

The sun has come out. A real pity to miss the game but as posted previously I won’t attend a game while JB is in charge. Hopefully a positive result for all Gasheads who have come all this way!

Lost today and I really think JB is on borrowed time (if that isn't already the case)

Lost today and I really think JB is on borrowed time (if that isn't already the case) In football failure alone he should have gone weeks ago. Not Joey or his fans can have any complaints whenever it comes now.
