Sounds like the goalkeeping coach has had an amazing affect. He was here when Day first arrived wasn’t he? I’m being sarcastic either way. Looks like they have all been cheating us. Hopefully we can get to the end of the season still in League 1 and the new man will sort out the ones who have been letting the two previous managers down.

Hard not to get the impression that they really weren’t bothering under Tisdale that's not far off what one of the pundits said - not sure if it was Mans or not They weren’t actually trying too hard for Garner either.

there wasn't much between the sides, but for once (and very unlikelyly, against the top scorers in the division), we had the finishing
I didn't see it as much more committed than under Tis, but the Ayunga strikes coupled with the saves with the help of the posts made the result different this time
I thought McCormac and Leahy had good games. Baldwin too. And Day, obvs. Nicholson not so much although, as the commentators said, we were going long which doesn't suit his game
the game flowed fast, and was an interesting watch

Superb result, well done TW and the whole team, both Ayunga goals very well taken, I did not think he had a goal in him, happy to be wrong!, a great evening for the Gas and 3 superb points towards safety!.

Jonah took the goals so well, with confidence injection should be more from him. A week ago a manager didn’t believe in the players. Tommy said he believes in them, did that make the difference? gillingham early kick off Saturday.

To a certain extent: we got our Rovers back tonight.
Fight. Passion. Aggression. Little bit of 3rd division gamesmanship.
It all started when team announcement placed players in their natural positions and played to their strengths.
I like how the captain is picked on merit, and fair play I'm pleased Leahy had stepped up to the mark with a well disciplined, decent defence organised backed up by Day who's performance tonight was the best for the club so far..
Special mention to Jonah....two excellent finishes, whom only got the start because Daly wasn't fit, but I hope now can prove doubters wrong and go on from this. The first was a good centre forward classic finish....the second was from a hanlan flick (hmmmmm playing 2 up front and them actually assisting each other? Who would have thought that? BG certainly didn't).
Well done, McCormick. Absolutely everywhere, my m o m.
Well done, Williams. Almost everywhere. Excellent performance.
A great team game, the likes we've rarely seen in 14 months. Reminds me of the last game we played last season v Sunderland. Team spirit.
Well done everyone involved, we've shown a side we hoped was there, the never say die after going 1 down. We've got something of our Rovers back....can we go on to make it mean something? Or is this the last breath of a dying team?

I struggle to believe that any group of players actually 'cheats' a set of fans. Often clubs are affected by a certain malaise and that seeps through into performances, but I really don't think it is a wilful decision by players not to bother trying.

It's quite sweet that our former Havent & Waterlooville striker bagged a brace against Pompey. They would of been aware of Johnah Ayunga at their 6th tier nieghbours.

Listening to TW post-match interview... references to the "previous manager" rather than any names. I've sensed over the last week that there wasn't a lot of love lost.

Davies played a full 90 for Barrow tonight and Clarke-Harries scored two more.Feel a lot better now and if we'd played Swindon ,there is no doubt we would have beat them too.So pleased Ayunga was given another chance as he has quality.Different kettle of fish entirely to Tutonda who has little goalscoring potential.

Maybe being away from the hot seat you forget how horrible it is. It requires time to turn something around you know you don’t have. The fire still needs to be there?
