Will this decade - or at least the start of it - roar for Rovers? This Cup game is very important for our finances. We stand to make alot of money and that - in modern football culture - is sadly more important than any Cup glory and magic the BBC may shout about,as they desperately cling to FA Cup occassions of days gone by. I don't have a good feeling about our chances of winning, but the ball can bounce in mysterious ways and we might win 4 0! Come on Rovers!

The BBC has sunk so far into the thick nostalgic mud of the so-called glory glory days that they wouldn't notice a marketable tournament if it was stuck right up their *ss. Clubs at our level and below seldom get further than the third or fourth round so why don't clubs throw it in with the season ticket price and give fans a bit of added value, then they wouldn't have to close large sections of the ground and get an atmosphere going. The FA Cup isn't "magic" in any way but it is a great leveller and fun to watch when played in the right spirit.

I'm hoping for a great first half and 2-0 at the break, then a tired 2nd half as we hold on to win 2-1. Rodman & Nichols, with JCH full on lambasting - cursing his luck!....COYB!...

Where to start with that farce.
Yet again, huge queues at turnstiles after the game had started. Yet again no food in the disgusting garden sheds we use as catering outlets. Well done Gorringe. Can you just go now please?
The game.
Just look at the stats, just over 40% possession, at home, they had twice as many attempts on goal as us. We were kept in it by 2 incredible saves. We have no shape, no plan that I can recognise and everything is done at walking pace. Worst thing of all was the midfield, we didn't have one, massive spaces with players looking at each other.
Nichols, what a complete fraud the bloke is. Literally all he did was mark space and lose possession. Again. How many times do we have to watch that?
This bloke Garner may be a coach, but he's not a manager.
We'll draw Spurs away, then get hammered in the replay.

Good game and a fair result.Rovers played well at times against a good Sky Blues team. I thought Vanstafferschoff (spelling) was slow to get down for one of Civentrys goals, but he came out to save well at 2 2. Cameron Hargreaves played well and he may become a regular before long.

We didn't lose today, so our name gets drawn, and I'm speculating that we'll get a good draw, but based on the shambles today, we won't be lucky enough to avoid defeat a second time. Hope that's easy enough for you to understand. If not I can maybe draw some crayon pictures for the hard of understanding.

Watched online.
They were superior to us all over the park, its been many a season since our keeper has kept us in so many games in a season.
Last game that we had more than 50% possession in a match?

Sorry. Tick to understand. Wish I was as gifted as you. It's an admirable aspiration Dido. But back to the football. We were still rubbish today, and Garner looks powerless to do anything about it. I think he has been watching the PL and Serie A, maybe when he realises that this division is more like dodgeball he'll start to get to grips with it, but right now he looks totally lost.

Just got back!
So....2-2 to them! What a thoroughly entertaining game at Mem today! Also, there were away fans next to me and they behaved themselves, so fair play to them.
Well done Cov for giving us a master class in passing and moving with pace cutting through mid like it wasn't there.
Well done Cov for the loudest support so far this season....even though they had only one or two songs.
Well done Lance....superb music selection pre natch and a nod to our opposition.
Well done us for our defence and goalkeeping....we earned a draw the hard way, two set piece goals and rode our luck with poor finishing and last ball bad decision making, but their flare on the ball was more often than not competently put out by Craig, Rollin and Alfie....ably assisted by Rodders and Keeps (unlucky with the shot as was partially unsighted for first goal conceded)...
Not going to talk about the elephant in the room as he had an atrocious match again. Subbed on 63 mins and that was way too late.... needlessly booked, behind the play, ball watching non marking, came deep to get the ball but pondered too much, and many times lost possession....we started with 10 men and only 1 up front so all Jonners flicks went to empty space....jeez....why is he ever selected?
Well done Upson in second half, a sublime volley hit inside of post. That would have been goal of the round contender if had gone in.
Well done Tony Craig, my m o m. Not often one player scores for both sides and is adjudged to have had a good match!
Well done ref, i thought he got most (not all) decisions correct....I particularly liked the period of play where we go down like a sack of sh*t under a 50/50 challenge to get your opponent booked (booooo!), then get up magically and receive the ball to do your shimmy and skills with your broken leg, lose the ball, then deliberately haul back Leahy and promptly get yourself booked when you contest the foul! Fool! Take a bow number 23, whom looked a tricky opponent, so antics were less than becoming of such an accomplished footballer, but f you, you're a gamesmanshipping @sshole.
I really liked their 25, great mid to keep the ball rolling and seemed everywhere. Glad when he was subbed.
Ok, much of a muchness we're seeing a similar match in attack. Poor. Slow. Little idea. No pace. No one making runs or seeking space. When we have the ball with time we are so easy to play....just mark us up and we are puzzled!
BG says two in before Weds to give us options in attack.....drop TN and that's 3 options!
We're in the draw Mon, well done us....I thoroughly expect us to go out before next round based on what I've seen today, but who knows? This is a strange season. . .

Well played Cam Hargreaves. Not sure about the system, looked like 4 3 3. Nicholls not suited to that, and was very poor. JCH, either injured or not interested!
Bennett main contribution, arguing with two of the coaching staff. See no point in having him in the match day squad anymore.
Saying that proper cup tie at times, enjoyable.
Why no red card for the penalty as was last man?
