Everyone looked tired today, keeper aside. To try to somehow blame Tom Nichols is ridiculous. Not one of the 4 strikers who.played today did anything special. Nor did the 6 midfielders who played. Rollin got caught out a few times, Alfie was quiet and Tony did ok, but just ok.
The referee was a farce. Wimbledon were dire (their number 23 excepted) and the crowd were subdued.
It's one game. Beat Fleetwood and it'll all be forgotten.

Just got back!
Oh deary me. We got what we deserved.
Fair play to Wimbledon who showed how to play us in second half, push onto us, hassle us in possession and pass and move...this result has been coming for a while.
I'm not going to criticise too much because of our punching above weight place in the division, needless to say though Keeps, Leahy, Sercs and Abu were ok today.....I thought Rollin was lucky to stay on pitch with elbow led challenge already on a yellow missed by ref.
Ok, Garner you got your work cut out because no creativity again and slow, lethargic attacking football no tempo and poor decision making of the last ball cost us.
Disappointing....I thought the players would all be up for it in front of a new boss. They weren't, in fact the fans' reflection of that with library atmosphere.
Well done, Wimbledon, they deserved their win. BG, over to you, as you have some work to do on winning over fans..

That was all over the place. I have no idea what we were trying to do, other than play with 10 men, it was disjointed, slow, and a total shambles in defence. Nichols cost us the points today, clean through, managed to mess around until not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 defenders caught up with him and took the ball off of him. That was at 1-0, if he didn't have some kind of hold over the club that means he gets played and we could put a footballer there instead it would have been 2-0 and points safe. Wimbledon will be laughing at how we've just gifted them a win. Utter garbage. How many managers have persevered with Nichols? £300k wage thief. This non-scoring "striker". This apprentice hair-dresser. What was he like when he came off? Battered and bruised? Sweating profusely? Out dead on his feet from his 77 minutes hard work? Did he look like a man? Or a boy - totally out of his depth? I wasn't there. Please let me know. Please Ben Garner - your first mission. Get the fans behind you and get rid of this utter f*c*ing waste of space. I'll make you feel even better, JCH set him up in the first half as well, in loads of space, time to look up, take stock, get your balance right, then hit the ball - well wide. 2nd half was worrying, very hard to see what we were trying to do, playing at walking pace, created nothing, back to that rubbish we played in the last months of Clarke's time here where the ball goes wide and stays wide, up and down the sideline, and eventually we lose if. Once (apart from Nichols being clean though and being singularly the slowest footballer I have ever seen so, of course, getting swamped by defenders) we cut their defence apart, nobody made a run to get in to position for a cut-back. Nobody was surprised that they scored, not one tiny bit, we threw that away with zero game management. Give the manager a bye, but it wasn't good, do that again and I'll be asking him to book a flight back to India, they did nothing to win, we did nothing to prevent it. Very poor. Back to Nichols, the number of times that JCH was pointing to where he wanted the ball played and moving across their back line, spinning around defenders, dropping off, coming back but taking up a different position, whist Tom was literally stood still next to a defender, I lost count. He's utterly hopeless as an attacker.

Had that been a footballer put clean through it would have been 2-0, it wasn't though, it was Nichols, the result was the same as 99% of the other times he's given an opportunity to score, he ended up on the floor and the opposition walk away with the ball laughing at him. At 2-0 the game is done and dusted. Cheers Tom.

Anybody close enough to warrant the referee’s decision to rue out the JCH “ goal “

I appear to have watched a dif match to everybody else.
I saw little dif in our performance to most of the season although they tried harder to maintain possession in the first half and I think that maybe they got frustrated at the lack of chances they created.
Both their goals were counter attacks with rodman being too advanced to defend, and that's the risk of wingbacks.
I'm not getting the Nichols criticism, it was his standard, good vision, nice balance, comfortable on ball, looks nice can't score performance. Not his fault that nobody created chances.
Some #### on radio Bristol was actually complaining that garner didn't jump up and down, as that's how he likes his managers.

Hooray, hooray, hooray and hooray. Ummmm Ollie does things some good, some bad. Sat midfield looked good today non existent! Only time saw Ogogo was when he was substituted. JCH struggling still, devalued today. Millwall Tone slow, could have got to yellow cards. Agree on midfield. Sat was so much better. The difference in personnel today was Ogogo in for Ollie. Simply didn’t work.

I can give some specifics about what we should have done tactically in the second half if that would help?

Would like someone to show replay of Leahy tackle for the disallowed goal so he could explain his decision. Looked a good tackle at the time and even more so on replay.. Shame we have to acept these showmen.

We were second best in the last 45 minutes and got punished. Did all that possession and closing down in the first 45 minutes tire some players? A few struggled and we got out busied by the Wombles. I hope Ben has the ability to suss out just what went wrong and get it right for the Fleetwood game. Offered 6,the position, at the stage, at the start of the season I'm sure we would of said "yes please". Everything to play for. UTG!

I thought the same, tired from closing down, but Wimbledon were equal to closing down and were much better at it in the 2nd half, we looked lethargic and void of ideas, everything up and down the side lines, nothing through the middle to switch it up a bit, I think the Ref also influenced our poor performance, Watched on ifollow, with replays and the Leahy tackle was a good one, nowhere near his hand, off his shins, pathetic decision, we desperately need a creative attacking midfielder to help get us firing again, Upson cannot do it all by himself, and teams are begining to suss out our singular gameplay.

Well I’m going to chuck one in the mix here, the difference between Saturday and yesterday was the lack of pace up front that Smith and Nichols were providing running the channels against Peterborough. Clarke Harris is nowhere near the level he was last year and frankly apart from crowd reaction not worth a starting place. Coughlan it seems has been the only person that has managed to get the best out of him. That performance was extremely poor, sideways and backwards due to the lack of running off the ball again.

Their first corner from the right wing was dangerous, it found open space on the edge of our 6 yard box, JCH came back and stood in that exact spot for their next corner from that side and headed it away. I'll take a half fit JCH over Nichols 8 days a week.

First iFollow match for me. Christmas dinner sandwiches at the ready. Feeling a 2-0 Gas win The only thing that I can be happy about, given I now have no immediate family, is not sitting at a table and eating the traditional Christmas dinner plus days of various turkey based dishes. It’s enough to put you off of the awful taste, for life. By the sounds of it, you didn’t miss much. Always when we have a decent crowd ffs !

Getting a taste of our own medicine, Wimbledon not in the game possession-wise but looks like their going to take all three points. Very poor and disappointing. The match stats don’t look good, not at all. Let’s hope Big Ben can get stuck into them. I hear that GC went into the dressing room, v Southend and threatened to cancel the Christmas party. That’s how my parents would motivate me, by the passive way of taking something away. Anyway, 5th place and lots if football to come. UTG
