Stonewall Penalty, Rovers MOM Jaakkola, 0gogo playing well and saved more blushes, cannot see a goal in our front 2. Hopefully, OC will step up and score a trademark screamer... he's due one... Att. 8,648 EDIT: Should have kept my mouth shut OC was subbed 10 mins later. And we scored 2 goals... With 1 shot on target

Any threat of postponement? It was wet all week few weeks back but the pitch perfect. Windy today as well. I agree there will be a lot of lava thrown if Nichols starts, because if he was a far better player than he is but his form as dire as this a manager would still need to take him out the firing line. Clarke did have an awful game on Tuesday but I felt that was down to lack of fitness. Again question for the manager, do you play an unfit Clarke for that reduced performance and leave a fit bennet or others on bench? He was passed fit to play but had a poor game like the whole team. Where are you getting this "unfit" stuff from? He means match fitness. He's not up to speed yet and took it easy doing the simple things today.

Police are hunting for 2 points that were stolen from Portsmouth today.
We got away with that and for 80 (at least) minutes were bloody awful.
Coughlan out. 👍

Big edit...
Anyone watching highlights can plainly see a push (by Leahy) and definite penalty award to Pompeii.... fair play the ref got that right.... and it was dispatched finely with a great crack of a toe, ah...

My own opinion. And that of people around me. Like gogo slow to get to the player last season but good this season now match fitter, Clarke has a similar game needing match fit mobility. If sercs wasn’t ruled out would Clarke have come straight back in in your opinion? Every player that comes back from injury has the same issue though. No i dont think he would have brought clarke back ahead of ogogo, upson or sercombe had sercombe been fit. there’s match fitness taking edge off players we know can do better once they get some 90 minutes under belt, but there is also players playing on through periods of injury with us shouting at them and wondering why they are off their game. Suspect that was case with sercs today, fit for 15 at end not 90. But I thought Olly done okay today, much better than Tuesday. Most people’s performance was better. Maybe not Tyler. Portsmouth were a bit lucky, didn’t dominate game for 2.0 it was hand on back and dive for pen imo, then lot of playing on break as we had possession and after his knock Craig was concussed when he made mistake for the second. quite a few times in game I was shouting at us to give the ball to our play maker.

I did play over 400 western league games so i do know about match fitness etc.....but yes i agree with your post.

I enjoyed the game today, for me it was an even battle although portsmouth killed us on the break in the 1st half. I thought we deserved a point with rodman, ogogo and sercombe having fine games. Please remember sercombe was very effective on the left wing today so lets not have any excuses for him in the future when he is deployed there. Hopefully the manager will switch to a 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 set up and we can play some better football although we clearly lack a creative midfield player.

I think we might be getting to the nub of what’s wrong. could also explain why dead balls are usually so hit and miss, with heavy emphasis on miss. across town Casey Palmer hit a fantastic ball in for the winner the other night, nor is that a rare occurrence for the chap. When cocko’ s gas score it’s usually as a result of heart and endeavour in spite of the missing playmaker and for anyone who says another goal scoring striker is top of list during next transfer windows wheeling dealing I would argue the play maker comes first. Playmaker could transform other forwards already here.

It shows that our own support was around 6500 and the atmosphere was awful until we scored our first. First half poor but did fight to the bitter end and the second half was much better. I still see nothing to disabuse me from believing we will be in the bottom 6 and maybe flirting with relegation

MOM Ogogo, great come back, well done lads. Atmosphere sounded fantastic watching on iPlayer, we're REALLY missing JCH #UTG He made some magnificent tackles and they were in dangerous areas. I can honestly say he made the best tackles I’ve seen. Always got the ball first and was pivotal in us not conceding more. It’s a shame only one player can be picked our flying Finn made at least 3 top drawer finger tip saves, at full stretch

If your team does not play the ball through midfield their a bit superfluous to be frank. I dont like the coughlan style but results will decide his future imo.

Playmaker could transform other forwards already here. Our set pieces are awful but we do have Hare when he returns from injury. He put some great pinpoint crosses in before he got injured. Set up a couple of goals. He's not a playmaker obviously but we need another experienced striker. We can't rely on two young loanees.

Ogogo mom, that's are main problem. Yes he was good yesterday getting in challenges and blocks, especially the one in first half. But he gives the ball often and creates little.

Our keeper was mam of the match by a country mile. How come no minutes silence for death of Rovers legend Stuart Taylor ? How come Ellis Harrison was not booked for kicking ball away ? What did the club say when you contacted them and asked what the arrangements were to honour Stuart's memory today? Ref Ellis. The referee was out on his feet, he couldn't really keep up. Jogging over and spending a good 30 seconds talking to our manager looked to me to be more about him having a rest than anything else. Desperate shortage of people willing to do the job, obviously. What's a mam of the match? Are you saying that he's effeminate, that he's a matriarchal figure or maybe that you think he's running a house of ill repute from between the sticks? The BRFC & BRSC are going to honour Stuart's memory with an event later in the season. But still strange nothing publically done at either the MK Dons, Bolton or Portsmouth matches ?
