On Paper Lawrence seemed like a reasonable, experienced signing that would help in the second half of the season. So far though it comes across as a disruption to everythijg before it, trying to get him in the team Thanks. Going on what is written and from what I hear from friends, that seems to be the concencus

Have to say though, we should have had a pen and a couple of last minute blocks thwarted good chances. Awful game and Wycombe were terrible. Never seen us win here, so I think it's my last trip to this soulless industrial estate.

I'd have taken where we are now last July! As KP says above, we are hanging in there despite not playing well at the mo.

7 points from a possible 24 I think?
I believe that new board will be looking a DC as much as the players between now and the rest of he season imho

For the third successive away game we've gone out against a playoff rival set up badly and played poorly. I'm concerned.

Farce of a team selection that most of us called as bad pre-match.
The Taylor-Vardy comparisons were absolutely laughable and Easter offers us less than Chris Beardsley. I know he's injured now, but it's no coincidence for me that Ellis leaving has been the catalyst for our downturn in formal. I'd start Bodin upfront with Gaffney on Tuesday.
Lawrence once again worse than useless. Mildenhall was genuinely the only positive and maybe if we'd persevered with him in the autumn months we'd still have half a chance of automatic.

Yet another 4 changes,it would be interesting if some statistician could work out how many changes have been made this season. It strikes me DC does not know his best side or he just likes changing to keep players on their toes.It didn't work in the last 8 games 2 years ago and doesn't seem to be working now.The successful sides are those who have a settled team, the more changes you make the less consistency you get.Now is the time for DC to pick his best? 11 and stick with it for the remainder of the season.14 points from 10 games says his strategy is not working Clearly when players are off form Taylor, Parkes at times he needs to freshen it up...its a squad game these days after all and he manages the situation pretty well and is positive trying to introduce players to actually win a match rather than play not to lose. Overall changes are accepted by the players. Only heard Easter publically say in a radio interview that he expected to have played more. But he gets his chance and frankly has disappointed us all with his lack of goals.

Seems to me that criticism of the constant messing about with selection is escalating. It's ok when the result comes out in your favour but when it doesn't it starts to become an issue.

It was a poor game. Rovers were disjointed and the game lacked quality. We missed Sinclair keeping the ball moving and forcing their mid into mistakes. The most exciting thing today was their boys having a police escort to get past the gas outside the ground lol.
Oh and el presidente coming on the terrace at half time. Class!

Deep breathes. This time last year we were a conference club, if I gave anybody our current scenario u would have been jumping through hoops. Plays offs our well possible, do we want to go up this season is something else.

Everyone always says the next month is the important month, but truth is they are all important. What Feb has shown is that we are unlikely to get automatic promotion. At beginning of month we were 8 points above 8th place now we are outside play-offs. Yet strangely nothing greatly has changed because with a good March against teams we should beat will see us confirmed in play-offs because it is so close. But as has been said DC has got to stop meddling about with winning teams and pick better balanced sides. It's tough to pick on individuals but LL appears to have disrupted the team. Time for DC to show some leadership, keep calm and pick his best team. I don't think that means signing new players IMO, just choosing his best team. UTG!

Team selection looked strange. Midfield had little creativity, so we relied upon our wing backs getting forward if we were to create anything. They didn't get forward enough, and Leadbitter's body language was not great. He didn't look interested today. Lawrence was very disappointing - doesn't look up to it. A lot of our attack was based on hoofing the ball. The defence was reasonably OK - but it felt as if a draw was the height of our ambition. The best player on the park with Rovers connections was Joe Jacobsen, who is still performing well 9 after he left us.
They were better than us in the first half. We were better than them in the second. We were better once Bodin and Taylor came on. Looked like a soft goal - their player given a free header.
We didn't deserve to win, and nor did they.
Overall - a bad defeat to a fellow play-off contender who we probably could have beaten. A win would have given us momentum as we move into the last quarter of the season. Today gave us nothing positive.
Wael was good value though!!

Another poor Rovers performance, three bad away results on the trot and this could be the worst because Wycombe were not much good. I am not trying to make him the scapegoat but when I see that Mcrystal is in the team I know that it will be hoofball. I know that people don't like Lawrence but I thought he made some decent passes, where was Ollie Clark ? ok he was unlucky with a shot second half but that was it. In the last 2 away games at least Sinclair showed heart, without him there is no engine in midfield. Gaffney made some long throw ins but there was no one there to take advantage. I would have settled for mid table at the beginning of the season, but after being in a play off position for so much of the season to miss out now would be disappointing. I think that the midfield needs strengthening and that the defenders need to pass the ball to the midfield rather than boot it over the top. One or two decent loan signings and the play offs are still possible.

Out midfield pose no threat at all. You can't gave mansell and Lawrence on the pitch at the same time. I like Mansell a lot but since lawrence has come in the ball just goes through us Saturday nights curry. Lawrence just can't keep up with play and seems lost he doesn't win the ball defensively and going forward he far behind..the man should be used for late 20 if we're ahead at best for now until he is match fit.

We will still make the playoffs, automatic hopes went 2 weeks ago so I'm now only interested in 7th place or above The majority of teams have played games in hand now and there are 9 teams fighting for 4 playoff places with us being 1 point of the pace with games in hand on some of the teams above. Come on - not the end of the world!
Larwence simply not good enough for the team and we have played poorly since Barnet, coinciding with his arrival. Needs lines back in. I would rather have our stutter now than in April.

One thing that must be said is the referee and linesman really didn't give us anything. Infact I would go as far as to say it was bordering on bias.

There wasn't much to give, really. Billy Bodin fell over twice. Lawrence was a bit lucky to stay on the pitch, I thought. It wasn't the worst tackle I've ever seen but when you've over run the ball and stretched with your studs up like he did, I've seen reds given.
