Peter Hartley for Argyle is a dirty cheating s**thouse. He blatantly elbowed Rory in the ribs off the ball right in front of the West Stand in full view of the crowd and linesman. Disgraceful.

Just back.Great game.Their winger Wylde brilliant.Very friendly fans and well done to the old boy in the West enclosure who asked a foul mouthed yob of a Gashead to refrain from such vile language in front of kids who to his credit moderated it totally second half.
We have come a long way since Altrincham away!!!! ( Brunty's last game for us?)Big crowd .Come on Sainsburys,do the decent thing and match what is happening on the pitch.
NB:Hardly noticed Ryan Brunt.

Well done everyone for more than competing on the pitch and terraces with potential champions.
After consideration, a draw was a fair result. Although, we had plenty of half chances to wrap the game up, especially in the period of time when we scored.
Respect to Plymouth. Their defence and mid made it difficult for us. Will say they were ably assisted by the referee who quite frankly chose to ignore blatant man handling and shirt pulling almost to the extreme.
The roar when we scored and subsequent songs ringing around the Mem was something that being a fan is all about....it was just like the tote end !
We mostly outsung them, great effort everyone.
It he's to some way to say we've got our Rovers back, with all the pride and passion I remember before our darkest years..
Keep it up!

Suppose we should be grateful it was just an equaliser and no more, as in recent fixtures we've let a lead slip to defeat. Anyway, as karma goes, we equalised late down there at the reciprocal fixture, so what comes round eh? ....and both times Plymouth thought they were top at some point in the match, only to find out at the end the mighty Gas knocked em off it! Their corner taker (Jake Jervis?); quite possibly the best delivery I've ever seen : the pace, trajectory, and especially the late swing, must have made them a nightmare to defend.
Shame we couldn't squeeze in one of those chances to have made it 2-0, as I think that would have won the game at that stage.

Their corner taker (Jake Jervis?); quite possibly the best delivery I've ever seen : the pace, trajectory, and especially the late swing, must have made them a nightmare to defend. Shame we couldn't squeeze in one of those chances to have made it 2-0, as I think that would have won the game at that stage. Why does Chris Lines have to take every free kick and corner when he plays it's hardly as if he creates anything. He used to have a brilliant whipped in corner when he was here previously now every corner is just a ball floated in so anyone who actually gets their head to it (providing it's not been over hit beyond the far post) has to generate their own power. Agree about the chances, certainly you would have expected Chris to have hit the target, Matty's chance was before we scored I think ? |

I thought Lines' corners especially in second half were threatening as their Keeps on a few occasions really didn't know whether to come or not (ooooooo....matron!). The wind was a factor which we held them first half, but in second half (probably more noticeable to me because I was this attacking side) I thought Linesy floated a few tempters' and even had one almost go in direct. I have to say.....we look more imaginative from set pieces recently, even though not much production has occurred directly. Funny how we see the game differently.. :-) |

But I agree that it would have been good to share out the set-pieces a bit, so we had a few different options and something different for Plymouth to think about. With his shot, that just grazed the post, I'm not sure he could have done any better. The ball was spinning away, as it went across goal, and if he'd have shot any more to the right I think the defenders would have been in the way and been able to block it. The only way around would have been to try the outside of the boot and hoped it would spin in towards goal. The other chances: - Matty T's first touch spoiled his chance. Might have done better to strike it first time; then again he did that last week and it ballooned over the bar! - Parkesy header was brilliantly tipped round the post by the 'keeper. I don't think he could have placed it any better. We've been crying out for Tom to head it down, rather than over the bar, and when he finally does he was very unlucky. - We had another clear break, and I think it was Billy Bodin (who otherwise did very well) who had a chance to play in Monty. He would have been clean through for a one-on-one with the 'keeper, as he was ahead of the Plymouth back-line, and not offside as still in our half. Billy couldn't get the ball through in front of Monty to play him in. |

He was dropped by Darrell earlier in the season because he was playing from the back too much despite Darrell wanting him to play further forward. There is a possibility if there had been more power on the corner that Parkes got his head to it might have beaten the keeper as it was Parkes had to generate his own power as the ball was just floated in. I'm hoping with more game time 'that little bit more I'm expecting' will start to show, he's a class player, I'd like to see more of it  |

Lines had a few direct forward runs yesterday - one of which contributed heavily to our goal.
I think this is the first time he has done this since he's been back. It was always a feature of his first spell with us and where he is at his best so was great to see.

I think Lines has a very one dimensional routine for dead ball and we have proven we have other and better players for this purpose. I don't understand why others don't step up. He really isn't the best for this |
