Very frustrating! Rovers had 18 shots to Barnet's 3 according to the BBC website... (Just 5 on target though!)

Absolute garbage, a Rovers player hasn't scored since Daggers now!

The day isn't a total disaster, our 12 toed cousins would have been dreaming of a trip to Old Trafford or Emirates until letting in the now customary last minute goal And Wurzel will be on stage soon to give us all a laugh.

Unreal how we couldn't get anything on target. One of the worst keepers (kicking at least) I've ever seen & we didn't test him once. Frustrating.

It had to happen (an away defeat). In hindsight, if we get something in the next two away games I would take the defeat today.
Still an impressive away record!

Nothing wrong with his kicking, he was kicking to a plan in the face of a very strong wind. Blame Allen not him. We were very, very frustrating today though, I agree.

Doesn't help that we have now played more games than any other in a playoff place. If others pick up their points from these games we are in a slightly false position at the moment. Of course we have been in worse positions........!

Spoke to him after the game. He is a local Gloucestershire lad.

First 10 minutes picked up where we left off last time we were there - no answer to Akinde(pen) and Barnet's uncomplicated movement. Dozing Gas
Then we started to play, a bit. Had more of the ball and some chances and shots. Harrison looked good I thought - did well in the air and with his back to goal - but we lacked brains somehow. For a manager who sets up his team and tactics according to each opposition, I couldn't see how a fair bit of hoofing would counter a team based on two big lumps at the back and one big lump at the front
We generally had much more of the midfield ball, but didn't test their goalie all that much
2nd half their bloke got sent off for a late studs-up tackle on Sincs, I think. Not much complaint about it. Weather had gone from pretty bad to an absolute stinker - rain and strong gusting wind. But we kept putting balls into the air - which often ran too long
The better option was to try to pick a way through their defence, I thought, using our extra man. We created the overlaps quite well, and I thought Easter, when he came on, would be the one to put his foot on it and pick the pass. Several efforts were close, but there was no cigar and we really didn't test their goalie, who some (well rather a lot probably) seemed to think had some sort of association with kiddyfiddling if you believed some of the noise made, in what were awful conditions for goalkeeping
They only really had one good chance after the goal, when Mildy rushed out to intercept Akinde(pen). Unfortunately Akinde(pen) played well, using his size and strength often, and twice his pace to beat Parkes down the wing
So from being clearly the better team against 11, we became dominant but incapable of scoring against 11. Lines and Laurence came on. Lines saw a lot of the ball, but didn't do much I thought, whereas Laurence didn't see so much of it but looked capable (although he also didn't do much)
Browner's deliveries were a bit off, Sincs rarely got much of a foot on it (though he challenged a lot), and Leds faded a bit as the game went on I thought. Lockyer did a better job on Akinde(pen) in the 2nd half than he did in the 1st, but why we didn't play Macca I don't know. Olli Clarke had a bit of a mare and was replaced at half-time
I wouldn't want to watch them every week, but we have have really got to beat teams like them if we're going to flirt with promotion

I'm sure the chanting was just a poorly-judged joke.

Of course we have been in worse positions........! You sense w/o Gaffney goals we are in a false position? Let's hope we get Gaffney or somebody similar soon as away games w/o him at Wimbledon & Barnet show we could be in for a tough end to the season, lets hope DC has kept sufficient money back to sign a striker as I'd sooner we splashed out big time on a striker than sign Lawrence if it came to a choice..

I couldn't see how close we came to scoring in the 1st half being in the away end but there were at least three I recall, a shot from Tom Parkes following a free kick move, a header from someone following another free kick routine eventually crossed by Leadbitter and another header from Harrison following a move down the left hand side, Harrison seemed to get his head underneath the ball and it went quite easily into the goal keepers hands. The 2nd half there were lots of efforts on goal a number of which went flying over the stand. There was however a cracking shot from Lawrence that went about a foot over the bar but would have gone in if it had been on target, a shot on the volley from Sinclair which went just over the bar again, a cross come shot from Easter that the goalie did well to turn away and various other half chances that fell to Mansell, Harrison and Taylor. Unfortunately we just weren't able to fashion a clear cut chance to score from, lots of movement across the pitch and down the wings but it just didn't come off for us in the box. Most of the 2nd half was played in not very helpful weather conditions either.
