I wonder if JCH will leave Posh this Summer if they don't win promotion.
Joe saying how he ought to be in the Championship does'nt harm the strikers reputation and Rovers chance of receiving a few bob from any transfer follow on deal.

The lads put a shift in and those all too quick to use cliches like 'they're already on the beach' or the season is 'fading out' are clearly wrong. So that's good news. You can't latch on to every narrative released by the club, Basel. People have not been "clearly wrong" as you put it and have a right as paying customers to demand the best every time the team steps out, which has clearly not been the case for weeks.

I'm talking about the Posh game. 0 0 away at a play off contender, their penultimate game. Not a beach in sight. Oh and I don't "latch on". On this occasion I agree, but I have my own views on the game.

JCH played in the championship and scored 12 goals, not seen any cheque books open for him.

I thought Posh were wasteful, they were the ones who looked like they were on the beach, so many passes short of target, over or under hit or just wayward, thought Norburn (thankfully) played very poorly. They looked jaded, and whole game appeared to me to be played out as if it was dead rubber fixture, I saw no urgency at all, just players trudging and knocking the ball around the pitch. Yes, Rovers made it difficult for them, but my oh my how wasteful they were all over the pitch, particularly in front of goal.

To me Taiwagas, your perfectly fine report could describe a game that could be from any stage of the season. I read no suggestion of the lads having half an eye on eg,the plane to Barbados.

Joe saying how he ought to be in the Championship does'nt harm the strikers reputation and Rovers chance of receiving a few bob from any transfer follow on deal. JCH strikes me as too good for L1, but not good enough for the Championship. You would have expected a Championship-level club to have taken a gamble on him by now, including our friends from across the river. How to solve a problem like this? Perhaps the Scottish Premier League - play for Rangers or Celtic and score regularly against D1 quality teams.

He did fairly well in a poor team when last in the Championship with Posh but no one has come in for him over the past year. I think he was near leaving in January but the move was never completed. (I know that only through reading what Posh fans were saying) Great player in League 1 but never the most mobile of players and in a Championship side I’m not sure the footballing sides would sign him. They would need to build their side around him like GC did and like Posh have done. Not many Championship clubs would do that but some more direct teams might but I’d have thought he’d have gone by now if he was going. UTG!

Always looks to me like he is carrying a bit of excess timber and I wonder if this is why no-one has taken a punt on him. Wonder how good he could be if he shed half a stone

I reckon he ought to do a Rickie Lambert. Lose weight, improve stamina, get quicker and become the best footballing version of himself.
