Charlton Athletic have confirmed that they will undergo a second pitch inspection at The Valley tomorrow morning with temperatures in London to fall below freezing overnight A first inspection was conducted today at 4:30pm and, as it stands, they state the fixture is, "set to go ahead" but that is subject to change🔵⚪❄

Got to go that way anyway as seeing Paul Heaton at the O2 tomorrow night. Looks like a bit of a much needed lie in then…

I guess those planning to travel would appreciate an early 'game on/off' decision. I went to Orient (from Bristol) on a New Years Day back in the mid/late 90's, the game was called off at 2:45pm. Even if it is on - be very careful out there! Essex had 5-6 inches of snow last Sunday and it hasn't thawed. Not been above 0c all week. Don't know if it's as bad in central London though...

This afternoon’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Bristol Rovers is set to go ahead with a further, precautionary pitch inspection is set to take place at 12.30pm. In other news,Colyton Res v Dawlish United Res just called off.Pitch perfect but Dawlish can't raise a team!!!

is this a game where BRFC should win, as Charlton are in some sort of dissaray, or will they be caught by the "he's gone button" and play above what their their league position shows them to be,, a bit worse that Rovers

Feel we could win and win well. Saw Coburns goal on soccer a.m earlier so some do pay attention. We need to keep hold of him

I agree, and if we were to get an early goal, it could turn into a rout!, but before we all rush down to the bookies and put a wedge on predicting a large Gas win you need to bear this in mind.
They have had some some very good results at home against promotion chasing teams inc thrashing Plymouth 5 - 1, Comfortable wins over Exeter 4 - 2, and Portsmouth 3 - 0 and a credible entertaining 4 x 4 draw with Ipswich ( 4 of the goals were scored in injury time )
Really looking forward to watching this one from a nice warm living room, aided and abetted with, a few large Baileys. So let the fun start on what could be a goal feast, in about 72 minutes

Looking at Charltons response to the teamsheet, they are pretty happy with some players back in who they thought may still be injured

No Rossiter?
Huh the pyrrhic victory of the boycott cup takes it's toll....one can only hope it doesn't matter, but for me (and most this forum) he's been m o m in recent matches and value his contributions....but to me in a competition that should never exist hasn't helped injury walk offs. Well done Collins for making the start. He too was doubtful Tuesday night.
I'll take a draw now based on historical (un)luck, but instincts say if we play to potential, we can do this.
Gas 2-0 win. Famous day for all travelling, safe journey.
UptheGas! COME ON YOU BLUES..
